Wow Cleaner, the BMJ saying what I've felt for 2 years.
New Zealand, Cyprus, and Luxembourg have all now passed over 1,000 officials deaths attributed to Covid 19. Over 6m around the globe now.
I know several people who have had covid more than once, and each time it eroded their household incomes.
Or perhaps, Don't Look Up..
RR, Feels more like 2001: A Space Odyssey to me.
Scancell may not be posting on Twitter, but Marcus is... https://twitter.com/mwl471/status/1526671043070464002?s=20&t=jlpmzyD8Eec4b8IANBcLjg
The account makes excellent points. It us a pity that there isn't any ampliflification.
Burble, I was quite happy to be wrong in estimating too late. I never imagined my guess would be far too early for FPD news.
Surely by now the FPD event must have happened, given there are 20 centres. . . If we are waiting for more substantive data, perhaps we need another sweep.
Thanks for your thoughts. As you say, the data from the trials is a key driver.
At one point there was speculation about the minimum price of a RM takeover. I was merely asking if that should happen, would the price be north of 20p rather than around 13p.
Like others, I'm keen for the tech Scancell has developed be evaluated through the trials. Obviously, I hope that those who would benefit will have better options as a result of the the extensive work Scancell has done.
So, am I being too simplistic in thinking ingredients that Durrant wooed RedMile, who if they had to buy on the open market, would have sent the price skyward?
Also, should they want to take over the company, the price would need to be at this price, and not the 13.x p point?
With day traders exiting at 14p, hopefully the share price will stay well above the 11p entry point for a while - I hope they find better targets.
And recovered about 20% already :)
Thanks all for these comments. I take Burbles points on timing, and feel that if there was wider knowledge of the CT that the recruitment would be a runaway success. Like others here, I believe this is a real prospect for a much more robust outcome in quality of life as well as longevity.
Being on my first holiday since before the 1st lockdown, my biggest fear is that I will arrive home with covid for the first time. I will happily volunteer when the UK arm of CT1 is underway, providing I fit the demographics required
Good question Bermuda
The deafening lack of news, solutions, and take up ( or takeover )of approved solutions as the preferred way forward has lead me to think they want to milk the cash cows a bit longer - perhaps building the coffers to cope with a less funding being announced for multi / universal covid vaccines.
Thanks for this Burble. I suspect that yhe true motive behind the gentleman I met was the same agenda I'd push, but if it means there is a joined up approach so that doctors can access full histories and appointments (as well as patients being able yo see upcoming appointments), it would be a start in the right direction.
Where I am, nurses are vital in ensuring patients get through the maze. Their care is priceless, so I hope the Government stumps up a pay rise soon.
What I didn't hear being mentioned was the development of an NHS AI which could be set up to spot earlier warning signs and help prevent a malady becoming a crisis. They have the historic data and given the features of most smart phones (plus addons), real time tracking for the most vulnerable is possible
I'm looking forward to the FPD news because that means we will start seeing people being helped. Let's hope the agile practices put in place to get 1st gen, limited cover covid vaccines** through the gates is taken forward to all vaccine trials.
**I absolutely accept that mRNA vaccines were needed, I just wish that the big pharmas pushed for a more robust, comprehensive, and long term universal vaccine for covids.
I spoke to someone today as a user of services, noting that iy appears current procedures have a very narrow TAYLORISTIC approach, with the patient feeling none the wiser about prognosis, state of the investigation.
I mentioned it would be extremely useful for all Doctors to be able to see the availability of clinical trials, given the huge numbers still waiting to be assessed. Biotechs have made some astounding breakthroughs, but like Scancell's trials, I wonder h9w many Doctors know about them
I also mentioned that there were a lot of things happening locally from my recent experience of the virtual fracture clinic.
I said either 16th or 17th May. Can't remember if I said the Tuesday because few RNSs are issued on Mondays or on the Mo day because few RNSs are issued on Friday. Very happy to be wrong and see the news next week or the following.
Agree, but the payoff to Redmile would be enormous when share are listed in the USA. American have great vehicles to invest for retirement, and all the baby boomers to gen x-z will be interested in avoiding cost of medical treatmentbankruptcy (65% of all bankruptcies in the US).
6x as many people, not sure of the % of active/inactive investors but a US listing means many around the glove will be able to trade more easily and at lower costs.
It would not be the first UK firm to move their headquarters out of the UK....
Check out scancells website about vaccines - digestible layman's explanation od what they are doing.
I've asked to bed and isa today. I should have done it on 6th, but I forgot. Mine are from my trading account, but I don't know how long it will take get get them across.
Spotted this tonight.

... "whether long COVID-19 increases the risk of cancer in those with no prior malignancies, remains unclear. Given, the disproportionate impact of the disease on the African American community, yet another unanswered question is whether racial disparities are to be expected in COVID-19 sequelae. Herein, we propose that long COVID-19 may predispose recovered patients to cancer development and accelerate cancer progression. This hypothesis is based on growing evidence of the ability of SARS-CoV-2 to modulate oncogenic pathways, promote chronic low-grade inflammation, and cause tissue damage. Comprehensive studies are urgently required to elucidate the effects of long COVID-19 on cancer susceptibility."

I look forward to views. I know during the 1st lock down that the BHF had 6 studies in process about covid impacts on heart functioning.
I agree with the necessity of teaching what kids do not learn in school. My son was instructed to sign up for an ISA, and the platform pushed him into a trading account.
Luckily we caught it before the end of the tax year, and he'd made over 6K copies gains, so he was close to the annual threshold.
I told him to put some of it into Scancell, and though he was concerned by the drop, he has not sold.
I didn't pick up that tVulpes had converted all of theirs. Thanks for that. So all we need to worry about is a divestment from them.
Obviously RM would trigger a t/o if they convert more of the options unless Scancell issue new shares to the extent that the outstanding options are below the threshold. When do those options expire? I seem to recall that the period was extended.
I also noticed that a number of the outstanding options expire over the next two years, so I'm sure there will be a number of updates for the exercising of them.
As Vulpes have all those shares from 2020 in the bag, I'm not worried about them not buying in the market. I'm more worried about them selling to fund the options.
Hope all find joy in the day as always.
Bit of a midgy drizzly start here and with the kids back in school on Tuesday, I'm expecting lots of fun to be had by kids of all ages.
