Bought a few as I don't think the share price will fall too much further (but what do I know?)

Good morning C7, I've been catching up in the background. it looks like it is another warm glorious day here so it must be time to put the kettle on.

I'm debating about saving the pennies to make a buy if the price drops under 5p, not that I'm looking for that to happen.

for me the key paragraph was about 1/2 down the web page:

I am hoping that someone can create a spray which can be used to coat the myriad of filters used across an array of masks.

I've seen other articles on this, but this one seems pretty comprehensive. Some of the points which chimed with me:

1. Heartburn drugs tied to higher coronavirus risk: proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)
2. Inflammation of organs not necessarily tied to viral load in fatal COVID-19

I'm not so sure about the obesity linkage at this point - but assume it also causes other stresses in the body.

For me, I'm still trying to figure out how I find out how much has been raised through the emergency appeal... The research programmes seem to go far beyond the creation of a vaccine.

I guess in my view, this is where a good communications manager comes into their own. They have some great material, but it is not being "placed" in the media.

All the questions I've seen on "where are we" could be answered by a (twice)* monthly video update lodged on the media page. (*I'm not sure about the frequency.)

I believe many start ups have a marketing and/or comms activity.

As for the price, if people are prepared to sell at this level, that is their call.

I forgot to include on the upwards spike any news relating to funding, deals, etc.

For me, Scancell is a bit like Eurotunnel, during the building phase as was when the highest price early in their history was when it actually looked like it would be successful.

In terms of driving the share price up, I think the key milestones are related to the completion of clinical trials showing a positive impact.

In terms of driving the share price down, the discovery of a 20-100% effective solution ahead of ours.

C7, I think I said when the results were in, rather than "proven". I am hopefully that the results will show significant improvements over others in the same / similar product field.

I don't know if proven includes the publication of a peer reviewed article on the results. I personally fear there will be so much "news" in this arena that even a significant discovery could be buried by those who have cultivated the health journos with other "stuff".

As mentioned, since the site is also testing the Oxford vaccine, they can see first hand the problems they will encounter with a 2nd gen Coivd vaccine (which is good not only for this, but the next ones).

I am hoping that the cancer trials will take on board the new clinical trial model used by Oxford to get results faster. I believe Flaskdata in Israel also champions ways to ensure that trial protocols stay at a high level plus real time reporting of patient datapoints.

I thought they would only issue another RNS on receipt of the results, not of the start of a trial which has already been announced.

That said, I'm not sure why they don't have someone, as GSK and many others do who looks after their social media and news.

I don't think we will have another RNS until something is proven. I believe that the Scancell Covidity trial on mice is proceeding and they are looking at the optimum solution for the next stage.

Ha, I am reading Charting & Technical Analysis - I used to know some of the stuff early in my career, but have not needed to use it in the last two decades...

I'm not sure that Scancell will conform to traditional charting techiques.

Thanks both. So basically very poor journalism which didn't even bother to highlight Bingham's plan to make the UK a research and vaccine powerhouse IF the Gov. give the go-ahead to the business plan.

In other news, I read the UK is now trying to join the EU vaccine purchasing programme. To me that is a good play and will help turn a profit if they do set up the 1BN plus vaccine dose manufacturing facilities they harped on about.

Here, I'm attempting to stay as dry as possible today. The birds are chirping in the rain and some of the day lilies have decided that today is the day to open for the first time. Clouds across the loch have lifted to just above the roofs, so I reckon it's time to make a cuppa and put on the extended editions of the Tolkein cycle.

I think the longer term plan is for the UK to set up to sell vaccines to the RoW, and not just for Covid-19. Certainly they need something to provide some good economic news. In the nearer term, being self-sufficient in vaccine manufacture will be critical.

Crucially, it was mentioned that the Oxford vaccine was reliant on having at least two injections.
