I would have thought we would have got an uplift today with BP results. Seems to have a mind of its own.

I too sold a few thousand shares, have about 8000 shares still left. I think it is a false market, I do believe the price will fall, as soon as there is reality in the market, which I find with oil is delayed a few days, before it sinks in. Stock piles increasing, yet the price goes up? Cannot expect the results to be good, more like a loss, that will then hit share price. I am not bothered which way it goes, if it goes up, I still have a load to sell, if it goes down, I have cash to buy.

I tend to trade with LLOY, BARC and RDSB. I have a holding in each of them as well as a trading pot, which I trade with. Will not touch AIM, had a bad experience once, QPP now WTG, after a lot of heartache manage to walk away with nearly £6000 profit in January. Will not ever go back there again. I will only trade with my money, wont do CFD`s. Money is in SIPP, so no limit to gains.

1321 shares sold at 1615.85 = £21345.37- £5 dealing - 1 PTM = 21345.31 1323 shares bought back at 1592.48 =£21068.51 x 05.% stamp duty 105.34 + £5 dealing + 1 PTM = 21179.85 cash profit = £165.46 plus 2 RDSB shares works out about £187 ish A profit is a profit. I sold at 1615 and bought back at 1593 I own 10785 shares. I sold 1321 shares first thing, just in case I messed it up. I am better of by approx £200

You have to move fast with this share, sold first thing, and rebought later on. Divi booked and a bit of profit.

I totally agree. I have sold my entire holding in BG so that I can buy RDSB if the price drops, I already have over 10000 shares in RDSB, so if the price rises I am also happy.

BG. Shareholders have voted in favour of the offer. I note that we will be trading as one on 15/02/6, RDSB will go Ex dividend on 18 February 2016, so we should pick up the final dividend as well, another 30p or so per share.

I am going for RDSB and cash. That way if price of RDSB does drop further, then I will have cash to buy more.

Cannot see the benefit of it. We will have a share consolidation, 13 shares for every 14 held to stop the price reducing when the special div goes ex. So all in all we pay for it ourselves. Why did they not just buy the shares with the money instead, and then placed them within treasury? That would have been more tax efficient and better for the company and us shareholders. A simple job, made hard.
