Sold the lot around 60p

Have started to buy back in again. Only a small buy of 51k shares, Will just trade them to make a buck here and there, not a long term buy for me, it is a political football for yes man Antonio, as I always have said for years.

I have no problem with a reduction in dividend, as a lot are not paying or have also reduced. The only problem could be that it could be a rebase, and rather than revert back to 49c. In all fairness I have held since 2016, the dividend has always been 49c, and we had a good couple of years, however we did not get a rise, just kept at one level, so with inflation we have had it reduced anyway.

This site is saying it is the FIRST cut.

Shell said on Thursday it was cutting its quarterly dividend by 66% to $0.16. It marks the first reduction in payout to shareholders since the time of World War II.

Some other markets did ban short selling.
The FCA said it found no evidence. They are a toothless useless organisation full of fat cats doing sod all. That is the problem , failure in this country is rewarded, well.

We have been having a dividend cut for at least 5 years since as the dividend has been held at 47c per quarter. The only way we got a rise was due to the weakness in sterling.

Daytradenovice has answered your question, in fact I held 33428 at the last ex, have sold a few after. That would equate to £50k in dividends depending on the £ to $ conversion, something that LLOY will not give me. I had over 500k shares in LLOY at one point, I really am glad I am virtually out of it.

I have reduced my holding here significantly, as the share price does not provide me with a decent return. I only own a 45000 shares. I have found it a dreamers share, that dream never comes true.

I purchased RDSB, I have over 30000 of them, which I trade frequently, as well as quarterly dividend, which have never been cut since the end of World War 2, just got paid £12500 recently, and as my average is £20 a share, laughing all the way to the bank.

Whatever your choice, hope it all comes off.

Prior to the buyback we had about 72 billion shares, according to LSE page we now have 70734 billion shares. Hardly a dent is it.

He is just venting his anger out aloud, as most of us that hold shares in this company feel the same way as we are underwater. Read betrayed us by cutting Dividend when he said he would not, trust has gone. I hold 15% of my portfolio in this, and I too am underwater, at least they are paid for, so I can wait until time is right to exit.

36.97 is the sterling equivalent dividend payable. The other site mentioned earlier is ALWAYS wrong

I have three brokers, AJ BELL, Interactive Investor, and X-O.

X-) is brilliant, no inactivity fees, just £5.99 a trade, A J Bell is good, a bit more expensive at £9.95 a trade. I too am looking to close up account with Interactive Investor as the new fees apply from 01 June 2019, I don't like these imposed fees. They were fine under T D Waterhouse.

I was thinking that exactly, this is a hoodwink.
If they are paying 4.16ec as a final, then the interim which is usually half the final then that would be 2.08ec making a total of 6.24ec not as 9ec as being indicated. This smells rotten to me.

Cancelled my limit order at 2251 and purchased at 2256, as it was not far off my target. There it went lower, so please hold your breath. I have been in oil since 2015, so follow it very closely. I have seen too many spikes on Divi day, no way will I buy on that day. I have learnt my lessons.

Also purchased LLOY at 50.60 with the remainder of the RDSB dividend.

I want it to go up, however US is providing figures for over supply. US production is at record highs. Irrespective of snippets being posted, the US runs the show, not OPEC or any other outfit. If US slows then oil will be impacted.

This will go lower, and I will retain my powder until then. Remind me then, then otherwise I WILL remind you.

Trouble is everyone had the same idea, and the price spiked yesterday. My divi was in 2 accounts, still awaiting the last one still. I have placed a limit order to buy for £22.51 up until 28/12/18. Not too fussy if I get them or not, as I have plenty of these anyway.

That is Royston Wild. He was bearish on oil when it hit the $20s in 2016. RDSB was at £12ish. Just shows that he knows FA.
The trouble with motley tools, is that you cannot reply to those articles. I suppose they are frightened to be challenged.
Shell has not reduced or cancelled dividend since end of world war two.

I will not be reducing my holdings due to an article by a clown. If you look at that fools recommendations, they will lose you money.
