dfslicker, what broker are you with? I just looked at my Barclays account and my rights issue is not showing as being added yet but when I tried a dummy sell they showed up in the total of shares available to sell, got a quote to sell the lot no problem but no intention of doing so atm. Think it just takes a few days for most brokers to update these things on your account, hope that helps and you manage to sort it.

Think it will all depend on any news over the next few days/week. Any notification that Apple have sold or reduced......well lets just say keep away from the fan! If they have sold out, I think there is a good chance they had a short on prior to the big drop to balance things...........On the other hand they could be mopping up sells? Either way would surely be illegal but they can afford the right people and take the risk. Lets face it they already poached some of the key staff before dumping on IMG............So what other dirty tactics are they prepared to use?

If you are out now with a profit why do you keep on coming back repeating the same thing over and over again? Its getting a bit ott. (IMHO) IMG have other assets apart from their IP and as realdeal says 40m debt is not that big a deal..........especially if you have Apple covering it for the next year or two anyway. From memory the main loss was from the DAB radio side of the business that they put a lot of resources into to try and get it off and running, great tech but a bit before its time (mainstream), so they eventually chucked in the towel on that one. The main worry is the movement of key staff over to Apple and all the knowledge they take with them, this will surely have caused some concern and hence the exchange of words (RNS).

Its all very odd I think, they somehow manage to employ some of Img's top people in recent months then decide to pull the plug having made huge profits over many years using their IP? Looks like some kind of spat between the BoD's and Apple have now got them over a barrel using dirty tactics............Wonder what Steve Jobs would think of it! If Apple still hold 8% of IMG why would they do this, unless they shorted by some means in advance. I feel for LTH and think some of you day traders should have more respect before bragging about profits, fair enough if you made a few quid but you dont need to rub it in or try and talk down the SP to get back in cheaper.

I'd love to be sat at Lord Howard's table asking him what he makes of it all. Perhaps AG came over here to try and do some last minute negotiations (or forced into it via the banks more likely). Who knows, but judging by the response from the banks selling out to the hedge funds doesn't look like anything of merit or to their liking seems to have transpired! Think they would have enough people in the know to really know (before most) whats going on so to speak. IMO the fact that S&G (as a legal comp) stated their intention to sue WTG after having 70 lawyers doing DD over a long period of time was a very bad idea...........And then spending millions on advertising campaigns to tell people how professional they are........Reputation busted
