The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Rocal, I find it truly amazing that you have spent so much time posting on this board for so long with just 5 shares to quibble over! I am sure your insults will be sadly missed by many, hopefully you will invest the proceeds wisely and recoup some of your losses. ATB with your future investments
Not looked too closely at the timing of the ann's over the pond, but imo it looks like they were orchestrated!
Soz that link doesnt work, this is the whole text as was announced to SGH shareholders about the claim. (apart from the bit underneath that just says ENDS) Market Update: Commencement of Claim against Watchstone Slater and Gordon Ltd (ASX:SGH) confirms that, after market close on 13 June 2017, its UK subsidiary Slater and Gordon (UK) 1 Ltd filed and served a claim on Watchstone Group Plc (formerly Quindell Plc), details of which were described in the Company’s 12 May 2017 market update.
Sheol, perhaps its because they have to be seen to be doing something! file:///C:/Users/user/Downloads/3A471806_SGH.pdf Does this announcement really sound like they are serious? I think not!
ha was very enerainig Mr Marsh, you could be in rouble hough for going off opic.......I love i and if world war hree breaks out me and hee will be drafed in o crack he new codes don you hink?
lol, just had a look on the Laird website nothing about this new "game changer" product, unless you look at their tweets and there is some news.......but just a copy of the very same article posted several hours later than the one I got from google. I think they are taking the P now with us PI's (pleb investors) the least they could do after we helped bail them out is issue an official statement about this so called game changer product and the other ones said to be in the pipeline. Surely they have a legal obligation to do that anyway? As you say chinch if they/we have something good lets put it out there.......perhaps put an R behind the P. Makes me wonder why they are not doing that???
Chinch, doubt this type of industrial product will be on apples agenda but it is good to know that Laird have many other strings to their bow than having to rely on apple. (They have after all been around a lot more blocks) I'm guessing the "other products" will also be aimed more at the industrial sector, would also imagine profit margins are much higher for this type of tech given the competitive environment where costs could be saved. I'm a bit miffed that we have to read these "Articles" via other sources instead of official announcements from the BoD...?
Glad there wasn't a T in that ; ))
"The product isn’t the only one the company has introduced since setting up operations in Warren, said Sue Moore, Laird marketing director. But it is “a little bit of game changer for the industry it serves,” and among others the company soon plans to announce, she added." Among others the company SOON plan to announce..........Oh the suspense!
a game changer says Laird. http://www.tribtoday.com/news/business/2017/06/laird-says-new-product-is-a-game-changer/
Looks like the longest ever poker game : )) Interesting we went up today when nearly everything else went down? Just spent ages reading the SGH bb on hot copper...........F me can those guys talk! Some really savvy posters with some really good points though, especially about the hedge funds and how they are increasing their stake here and how it could all be connected with their recap. Had a hunch a while back they might play one comp off against the other. Win Win situation for the HFs...............Wonder what they know???
Hi Grumps hope you are well, what do you mean by "Maybe they are dependent on others".......RBS case? Not been following things very much lately so forgive my ignorance
The perpetrators of this are just as bad as the other scum.......How many people did they kill and inflict pain on whilst sending the NHS into turmoil??? https://www.nccgroup.trust/uk/about-us/newsroom-and-events/blogs/2017/may/how-our-security-operations-centre-responded-to-a-global-ransomware-outbreak/
I suspect the drop in SP was a reaction to the carnage in Manchester as NCC have their main office there. Worries over further attacks would have concerned some investors as would the restriction of transport links around the city. Good to see a reverse of that trend today (hope it lasts). I also think NCC will be playing a big role and working very hard to assist the police/intelligence agencies. I doubt they will be able to clarify this though, at least not atm. We need companies like this and I'm glad to be a shareholder
"Whilst his name lends a degree of credibility he is not going to be pulling strings at the SFO to end their investigation in my opinion." I would be shocked if he even tried that approach, my point was more that given all his experience and even in what you say is a small advisory position its good to know the BoD have someone with all that knowledge and contacts to give them advice. Lets face it if you were a well respected Lord why would you associate yourself with a so called dodgy company when there are so many others to choose from........Seems a bit picky if you ask me
Sparkles2000, MH may be retired but he has a wealth of knowledge and presumably many contacts. Regarding the SFO, maybe they would prefer to try and nip it in the bud!
addicknt, if they were not relying on the QPP accounts and did their own DD how would that amount to a claim of misrepresentation from WTG?
Is this a delayed reaction or has there been some other news? Was expecting a bit more movement like this on Monday considering all the media coverage about the ransom/hacking. Those scumbags need stopping asap ........Makes me feel sick thinking about the amount of carnage they have caused. All for the sake of a few hundred quid!
Good point Mr Marsh (hope your recovery is still going well). ""Despite multiple requests, SGH has continuously declined to disclose key evidence in its possession which would be relevant to the merits and quantum of its purported claims. Watchstone believes this evidence will be available to it in the event that SGH issues proceedings and it intends to seek disclosure of such information at the earliest possible opportunity."" Is there any key evidence to claims against WTG? After multiple requests could it be that the BoD have asked the SFO to step in to seek any such information that is being withheld? They seem to be reading things a lot different over the pond. Lets not forget we have a respected QC (Lord Howard) as an adviser who has been around a while and I doubt he will want his name tarnished, nor will the rest of the current BoD. IMO
Lol...........Wonder if Shredder will be held to account! Back later, stuff to do : (
