Why do you think it is "v v promising"? I think, on the core business alone, it looks good but not incredibly good UNLESS Linx ends up providing a lot more growth here by way of acquisition. Is that what you're counting on, jolly? Hope I'm making sense lol

All will become clear with time and, quite frankly, the seller is making a mistake. This reminds me of what happened with Bushveld Minerals (BMN). Over there OBT dumped 100m of their shares onto the market to raise some cash urgently so they could invest in harvesting mangoes etc, and then BlackRock decided to dump 20m of their BMN shares too. At first we didn't know what was going on but it all became clear, the sold shares were absorbed (over a 6 week period), and it provided us PIs the perfect opportunity to buy into a ridiculously undervalued share [hence why it is my largest holding, and part the reason I'm not invested here yet]. Ultimately there's nothing for holders to worry about. They're just going to need to be patient.

Oh is that what it is? That explains it, and must be v frustrating for you guys with positions here. However you can take solace from the fact the seller is giving you all a nice chance to top up before he eventually stops selling (which will let this share rise back up to 40p)

and I'm surprised by it tbh. I'm not in here but I can see this ought to be trading at 40p or so, not struggling to get past 31p!

The HY report said it does include any earnings from Linx. But how much do you think Linx will boost Red24's revenue and profits? Beginning to wonder if Redt is a bit of a dark horse...

Jingly, I think you're probably right about that. The market has gone through a long bull run and sooner or later it was always going to come to an end and maybe this is the beginning of the end / the start of more cautious evaluations. However ANP seems to have dropped sharper than most of the other shares you referred to there. And MONI should have been in that list and yet that has actually risen lately. SEE is another example I can think of. None of them have reacted like ANP has here. So you can either deduce that the ANP drop is overdone, or that a correction has taken place here and other shares' corrections are yet to come. Who am I to know?

but I wouldn't be surprised if we see a pull back fairly soon. I'm really not expecting much from SYQ without any news but this will double in price by year end either way lol so the SP slipping in the short term would not bother me at all. All I'm saying is don't get ahead of yourselves, and don't panic if we don't move in a straight line upwards.

And I wouldn't even want them to make an acquisition etc unless it really added value, bearing in mind the share dilution that potential comes with it! The reason I say it's unnecessary is because SyQic is a wonderful growth stock that is just really under the radar at the moment. Once the 2013 FY results are announced we'll all be in profit. Once the 2014 HY results are out showing a vast improvement Year on Year and SyQic really draws in the crowds we'll be laughing! SyQic will be at least 130p by the end of the year, and that's a conservative estimate. Honestly I've done a lot of research into literally dozens and dozens of companies and, whilst there's many good ones out there, I have struggled to find as beautiful a share as SYQ. Hence why it's one of the 3 stocks I tipped for 2014.

What's typical? And what does a longer takeover process suggest? Is it positive or negative for us?

I'm at work so don't have a great opportunity to give you a full answer but SyQic's closest comparison would be Netflix but it's for East Asia or people from that region only. But it's certainly not limited to just students - it's just that they're now targetting Eastern Asian students in UK universities because there's a good opportunity there.

If it is 31 Jan like it was last year then it's after pay day and I can buy in. My biggest fear is that the SP won't move much ever because the market clearly dislikes it a lot for it to even be at the SP it is today - where it looks absurdly cheap. (Something that's true of NBU also of course)

When exactly do we expect news? Because I've had my eye on CAMK for months now and have always wondered about buying in (and most certainly would if my funds weren't so limited!)
