Communication and management of expectations has been very poor by the BOD. Certainly wrt level of bopd, which I am still not 100% clear on. On the flip side, having digested the disappointment from today’s RNS, we have a mcap of 6mn for let’s say 80bopd (I am ignoring the value of MYN’s investments in other companies given the BOD is unclear to us SH about its potential value), which bodes well when we do get to the states 300-500bopd.

No surprise then, that you ignored the fact that LK has repeatedly stated he is not a fan on RNSs and that he prefers to have a face to face event with SHs to keep them appraised of what is happening at CERP. Something, which he as stated and you ignored, he wants to try to do every quarter. Everyone, other than you, is aware of the many activities happening in Goudron. Everyone, other than you, will be interested to hear what the plans are for our new assets. Everyone, other than you, will want to listen to updates on the above, and everyone (you guessed it: other than you) will agee it’s all a bit too much for an RNS. Equity race is a certainty now (think I got called a derampers for saying it would happen soon). Anyway, if they raise 6mn that would bring the macap to £30mn(ish) which is a lot given they sell zilch. They will need a very solid plan (and IMHO BOD changes) to get investors excited. This is not a story about whether or not Qfi’s IP has potential or not, it’s a story about how to monitize it and for that you need a different BOD (or a seriously altered one) that has strong credentials in bringing new and disruptive technologies successfully to the market.

they have to update the market prior to the AGM, according to AIM rules. Practically speaking that will mean an RNS by 8 or 9 am latest

...which LK has communicated....no need for an expensive office in London....LK made that clear. You don’t manage finance by focusing on one line in the P&L only, you do it by saving every penny across all parts of the business, which is what LK is doing. So there is a double whammy here: 1. saving by removing the London office 2. overall savvy financial management displayed by LK I guess that is what LLL is trying to demonstrate! Blimey, he is LK’s biggest fan!!! The avatar LK-fan is stil free, LLL :-)

The money needs to be used to invest in the growth of the company; it is no use sitting in a bankaccount generating 0.5% interest. CEO get beaten up by ii if they don't invest that kind of money given the cost of lost opportunity.

I for one, have been annoyed it took from Oct 17 to Q2 18 before that cash was invested in capex etc, but I am sure LK had his reasons to wait.

LK’s target for Goudron is 1500-2000 bopd, if I recall correctly. IMHO, that assumes the WF campaign, delivers. Not impossible.

Totally agree, Petergar, though I am a bit more optimistic re potentially changing the BOD. It’s not like they have achieved much... Any new investors, potentially corner stone ones in future, will say that changes are needed in both personnel at the BOD and in the way the company has been trying to monetise their IP. As to the trolls, they are a plague - regardless which b.b. you read up on. Sad sign of the times, I’m afraid.

I quite agree. They have an interesting technology, which has got me interested in this share for many years now. I for one have not, and will not, invest here until: 1. significant change in the BOD 2. Clear path forward towards commercialisation in a reasonable time 3. funding required

Probably even lower, more around the 2p mark. Still. what ever level the placing comes in, it will only be of use if it is accompanied by a convincing route to successful commercialisation of QFI’s technology. This is always the case, but even more so since QFI started only a couple of weeks ago there was no need for a placing. So a placing to keep the lights on will go down like a lead balloon; one with a promising route forward could be a very sweet thing

there are other oilers out there with 500 bopd at 4-5p, so I don’t think it is too unrealistic to target those levels provided EG makes it clear what his 3-5 year plan is. MAKE PEEPS DREAM EG!!
