Interesting to note that this time last year when the price of oil was much lower ( around the $40 barrel mark ) the share price under Premier Oil stood around the 30 pence mark but in less than two months by late June briefly climbed to over 50 pence ...With the price off oil now much higher hopefully a fast climb in the share price may repeat itself again this year.. .( and stay there this time round !!! )...

On Friday I posted a message that if felt a privilege to be invested here as Halifax did not allow me to invest in Reabold and I had to go to a different platform provider ...I feel positive that myself and everyone else should do well here but even I did not imagine I would get off to such a good start after only investing on Friday ...!!!...Here's hoping the share price is on a long upward trend ...

As a new investor at the moment it feels a privilege ( or at least for today ) ..to be able to buy shares with Reabold as I was with Halifax Share Trading for a year and for some reason they did not allow anyone to buy shares in Reabold even though I tried on a number of occasions ... although they do allow investors to buy shares in U J O which I have previously held and my wife is still with ..I changed over to a new share trade platform called.. X O ..and there was no problem to buy Reabold shares earlier today ...I remember as a child I used to enjoy watching the Beverly Hillbillies ( only those above a certain age may remember this ) and if the value of the Reabold shares take off in relation to West Newton then maybe or just possibly... myself and all the investors here may end up just like them !!! Good Luck All ....

No one could say for sure what the Tullow share price would be if the price of oil went that high but at a guess I would say the share price maybe akin to the performance of the Jersey Oil and Gas share price which has gone up from the mid 70 pence region in early November to the mid 230 pence region now ....

Many thanks for the explaining why the share price stalled ... first day I have been back in Tullow since last summer so I hold my hands up and say I know nothing about the R B L ...I keep a watch list off around 20 different types of company shares but only invest in one ...I felt that Tullow was a no brainer earlier today and think it could put in a good performance for a while yet so this is one I am happy to stay here for a while since to go somewhere else carries its own risk ...Best of luck to all long term and short term share holders here ...

Interesting to note from ....1st of October to early December the share price climbed from 14 pence to 34 pence before the share price stalled and then retrenched back to 26 pence on the 1st of February ...Since then then the share price has continued up from this new 1st of Feb ..higher low point ..so I would say the 40 pence share price should now be much easier to get to especially now that investor sentiment may finally be returning back to Oil Companies ...

Interesting to read about the recent share price offer for Marston's from Platinum Equity Advisors which was recently rejected by the board of first 88 pence then 95 pence and finally 105 pence .... Was 105 pence a good offer for Marston's ????
Well - Simply Wall Street -who are quite analytical with company shares say that the current share price is undervalued by 25 % and 121 pence should be the fair Value for Marston ....It seems that the final offer was still to low to be accepted...

So far Premier is Preforming well today as compared to other oil companies big and small ... Investors realize the price of this share represents excellent value ...

It's Interesting to note that since the 27 th January when the P M O share price stood at just over 18 pence the share price has been in a continuing uptrend apart for some minor retrenchment in the later part of last week ... Possibly this uptrend could be accelerating over the next few weeks as sentiment seems to be improving for the Oil sector....

You are asking should you cash your gain now you reached your target price ????...If you plan to splash the cash on a Lamborghini or something like that then go ahead !!!.. However if you plan to rebuy shares somewhere else.. then you have to weigh up if you will make a better gain elsewhere or if it is better to stay here ...I can only speak for myself but I have traded all different shares in all sorts of sectors either holding only for a few hours or up to a few months . But personally I am.not confident I could do better anywhere else as in the low 20s I consider this to be a bargain ....Good luck whatever you decide ...

I agree mostly agree with what your saying but who knows ...with a combination of the name change at the end of March and a continuation of the increasing price off oil the share price may even get to the 40 p to 60 p range even faster than anticipated ..... Although not under the same circumstances ...but I would say even worst circumstances at the time.. the Premier Share Price went from the mid teens in early March 20 to the low 50 pence territory by June 20 which just shows how quickly this type of share can move once the sentiment changes for the better ...But that does not necessarily mean history will repeat itself twice of course !!!...

It's Interesting To Note Simply Wall Street ..who are fairly analytical with shares give a ..Fair Valuation ..For The Premier Oil Share Price of £2.20 Per Share as compared to its current price of 20 p partly based on their assumption of earnings growth at 74.83% per year ..Okay I know it will take heaven and earth to get there but it is one of the biggest differences I have seen for a company fair value and actual share price of an oil company ...To put it in perspective their Fair Valuation For B P stands at £2.45 as compared to current price of £2.56 .. Tullow Oil Fair Valuation 54 pence as compared to current price of 30 pence and Shell Fair Valuation of £18.36 as compared to current price of £13.58.... When Premier change to Harbour Energy hopefully a good start will have been made to reach fair valuation ...

I cannot comment on what you are saying... but my understanding of shorting is basically to borrow shares sell them and then buy back at a lower price then split the difference with the broker from whom they have borrowed ..But this is usaully done to companies which have the most danger that their share price may continue to drop especially if the company faces bankruptcy (.at the moment I would think a company such as Cineworld would be a good stock to try to short as it has serious financial issues ) .....I would say although there may have been a recent
Possibility of Premier facing bankruptcy this is definitely not going to happen now which then becomes a nightmare scenario for people who attempt to short because losses for shorting can be unlimited if the share price suddenly shot into outer orbit.....Look at examples with the Reddit Gang in the states to see what happens to Hedge Funds etc..who have tried to short companies such as Game shop etc.

Apparently there was late news that Chinese Oil Imports increased by 18% to 11.12 Million B p d of Oil Per Day in January over December ... Coupled with declining Oil Inventories in the U S A this means that the demand for Oil is increasing in the two worlds largest economies at the same time when there is a lack of investment in new oil exploration ...Could we get to $70 a barrel sooner than we think ???..From my understanding the people who are trying to short the Premier Share Price need the Oil price to be going in the opposite direction ....This is looking less and less likely as each day goes by

Okay so it is a completely unrelated stock ...but to note a company in the states called Bumble ..a dating app ...soared by over 76 % on the companies first day of trading which gave the company a $14 billion dollar valuation on the Nasdaq . An initial public offering of $43 dollars per share ended up at $76 dollars per share after the first day ...though there is criticism here of investment banks offered underpriced shares so there investor clients so they can win big on these trades ...Now I am just wondering although not in the same sector/ or country ...when Harbour Energy starts to trade on the stock market at the end of March could a decent gain for the share price be made early on ????...

One lesson I have learned is never try to predict what a share price will be in the future ..( always someone will hold it against you on share chat if you get it wrong !!!)... BUT ..the Premier Share Price hit a recent low of 18.26 pence on the 27 th Jan and since then has managed to continue to increase ..albeit by smallish margins..on the last 8 trading days out of 10 which indicates an upwards trend could be in place ... Hopefully soon Premier may catch back up with Tullow !!!..
