Bonus schemes and dilution are BAD, IMO. * Dilution in particular should be either, clearly advantageous or a last resort. * Baron's Bonus Scheme violates the sanctity of shareholder capital. * SAE holdings (or whatever they call themselves) have "STUFFED UP" by permitting this, IMO. * It is a subjective judgement, "under pressure" at this stage... However, I feel strongly inclined... to apply a 50% DISCOUNT RATE to ALL valuation attempts, in response to THAT RNS!

You had the sense to hold onto your MEC shares for much longer than I did, so it is very reassuring to hear your comfortable with the 32p level here. Time will tell.

Sold 100,000 shares at 32.5p, holding 240,000 ... I have no idea which way this is going ... but I think anyone who chooses to buy at this price will certainly deserve what ever profit they make (short or long term).

Sold 10,000 at 32.55p, holding 340,000, ... not sure if I'm ramping or de-ramping ... but 26p might be a good re-entry point?

IMO The 5 million share trades today was some one selling 5m shares to the market makers today at 20.5p each, followed by the mm selling them on at 21.5p each to someone else ... so the market makers made £50k on the deal and the overhang is probably still circa 15 million shares... I reckon paying 23p short term is probably not that smart...........hopefully ok in med long term though!!

Basically I would echo Liam-74's thoughts on the matter...PMG could only acquire CAD with a paper offer... PMG paper looks fit for the toilet only IMO... I think PMG & CAD have a common NED in Mr P Dayer ... perhaps its an over-reaction on my part, but maybe its time Mr Dayer left CAD?

Sold at £1.00....not done enough research to feel confident...ADVFN posts from early days are interesting...tracking net operating income from the cash flow statement minus finance costs, against covenant headroom might be the easiest way to get a handle on things?...not done that yet...may come back to this some time.

If the serious investors/bidders walk away or get rejected... the "crazies" may get an opportunity to set the share price in the short term...my target entry price if it came to that would be 1-3p depending on wether or not the Barlad money has been received?

Managers bonus scheme has been concerning me... found this in the 2007, 8 & 9 annual reports, corporate gov section. ** "If a performance fee is paid in respect of a performance period, the hurdle in subsequent periods shall be calculated using the highest market price & capitalisation at the end of the performance period which generated the last performance fee" ** Also noticed in recent RNS reports something about the bonus being subject to the 2008 "high watermark" * From notes to the 7/8/9 accounts near back page... it appears that no performance fee has ever been paid in those 3 years. **** Conclusion **** I am not absolutely certain, but I don't think a performance fee will ever be paid unless the share price goes above something like £4-£5 per share?

Just bought 6000 shares at 89.24p... people on iii still talk quite sensibly about this stuff...NAV £2.70 per share...half yearly dividends circa 4p each...No of shares in issue declining ??? [iii post, not sure correct]...not traded this for a while and lost money then!

LWD equipment sits upto several feet behind the drill bit and varies in sophistication and expensiveness... such tools can cost upto £500K or much less!... principally it is used for "geo steering" and acquires data on porosity, resitivity and other rock characteristics... I assume it is not capable of actually detecting gas?

If Regal gets taken out by a cash offer...thats a lot of "investor cash" freed up...is there any smart money left in Regal?...where will it go?...A £76+ million tidal wave of cash would clear CAD's 21p over-hang nicely!
