This is not nonsense if the infrastructure minister is reasonable unlike other minister/ministries so far. It’s the environment ministry and it’s ARSO department that has so far ignored reason. The infrastructure ministry actually grants the initial gas exploration / production permits, not the environmentl one. The infrastructure minister might even have flown to that conference with her own budget.

Scott - I believe they are in a coalition government, with some ministers belonging to different parties. So cooperation is not always the first thing they are enticed to do - however dumb this appears for any neutral and reasonable observer!

I doubt that it was on the basis of inside info - the leak to the press of the restimulation permit was a colossal cock up from Arso and it would be akin to professional suicide from all its staff to let that happen again.

That does not mean it's not a bummer though, but it does not change the investment case substantially IMO - whether your case is "buy", "sell" or "hold".

I spoke to CD a while ago and he seemed nice and knowledgeable, but after having heard JB talk two weeks ago, I'm surprised that so much that now seems obvious hadn't been started back in Summer / Autumn 2017.

I would have thought that CD would have pushed for those things (incl. looking into ordering compression equipment, clearing up pg11, exploitation of the shallows) to be properly initiated as soon as gas started flowing to Croatia in case everything wouldn't run smoothly with the permits, even more so with the mess already experienced so far at that time.

Strangely enough, the exploitation license is granted by a different ministry (of infrastructure), which has been fine with Ascent, unlike the environment ministry (and its body Arso).

Antha - my bad, thanks for confirming the facts re: SP! In that case, it seems that guy spent about £4m back then. In just one company!!

Actually, the SP was roughly between 180p at the start of 2011 to 50p at the end. So his claim just does not sound right at all.

I know of two people (not me to be clear) who have deliberately bought single shares in the past to mess about.

That does not mean that those single trades seen recently are not from algos though.

Mysteron - I see countless of PIs over the years that keep hoping that buys / sells of 1 share is a secret code from market makers announcing the imminent arrival of an RNS.

1 trades do not have a secret meaning. Do people really think that market makers do not have access to mobile phones or the Internet if they want to communicate with each other?!?! And any individual can buy or sell a single share.
