JL's resignation, accompanied by more (Slovenian and English) articles about how he lied about having extra police protection, is almost certainly the reason behind the much bigger volume of trades.

And the president of Slovenia, who is not implicated in the mass of political scandals that surround the environment minister and the PM to a lower extent, is visiting the UK this week.

I have substantially increased my holding today as I see a clear turnaround of sentiment about those permits.

Well, he counter-filed an action - all reported in Slovenian yesterday.

But that was probably just him digging his heels yesterday. His resignation of this morning suggests he's caved in (or was ordered to do so?).

Not me. I do expect a stratospheric leap once it's understood that there is no more barrier for the permits to be awarded. That happened last year.

Stockdale - let's remember that the main issue from a legal PoV is the serious accusations (with supporting evidence) of fraud for EURO 100 millions.

And the explicit lie about his having extra police protection. Plus the evidence of earlier public lies (his qualifications) and the apparent affair of a fleet of BMWs (whose full details I did not understand) in earlier days.

Obviously his arbitrary (illegal?) decisions on various environmental projects were a problem (incl. for Ascent), but it's the above that primarily put his ability to hold a public office in question.

All RNSs must be vetted by the nomad first. Considering that JL only just handed his resignation, CH could not have possibly issued an RNS about that this morning anyway as you’d have to factor in the additional time for the nomad to check the contents of that RNS.

Actually, I suspect that the permits will be awarded no later than next month, if not next week. Even the visit of the president of Slovenia (the man who received JL’s resignation and must be well aware of JL’s decision to slow down Ascent last year) to the UK this week may help accelerate the resolution of our issues.

Considering it is JL who no blocked the release of the permits, I suspect that Arso employees were keeping a low profile so long as JL was around. Now Arso can do its job without the fear of another one of them getting sacked... ahem “resigning”.
