in4cedros - thank you! I haven't managed to do half as much research as you seem to have done though, so I must admit my investment here is closer to a punt than something reasonably considered compared to, say, my Genel Energy one for which I could find information comparatively more easily.

Thank you for this. I sold a chunk of my Genel Energy holdings to buy into this. There are a few factors that make an accelerated resumption of legal Syrian production very likely: - the regime's urgent need for cash - the desire to force some form of peace to stem the tide of refugees - Putin's likely desire not to appear as just a warmonger, and his probable need for a place of support outside his relatively weak Eurasian Union. The overall positive sentiment on the OP with Saudi Arabia's recent announcement only helps things.

This shareholder revolt is very bad business in my opinion. I appreciate the frustration at the apparent share awards (assuming this is real: does any one of us really know?!) but taking action at a time when the ship is still being repaired and just about staying afloat looks crazy to me. I'm glad I didn't buy back in yesterday. I'll await the outcome of that AGM before stepping back in, unless stellar results that would compensate for most boardroom shake ups are announced before.

I doubt figures will be published this month as it's been 2.5 months after the financial date in question that CPP published its reports in previous years. So I suspect we will get numbers in mid-March... Unless you have inside knowledge! I'm planning to be back in when the spread decreases.

I don't think anyone of us really knows, only the insiders and the biggest investors who have been party to conversations with CPP management.
