I expect AST to rise relatively slowly and am therefore considering selling the bulk of my holding there to put much much more into SEPU, if it's still below 25p on Monday morning. I'd sell that proportion of SEPU shares when it's reached 50, or by Wednesday, whichever comes first. Does this look greedy-stupid or does this make sense?

I missed a takeover offer on PFD, which I was following early this year. It dropped like a stone when the expected takeover battle never took place and the original firm offer was rejected. However, PFD did not go lower than the pre-offer price. But it took several months for the SP to go back to near the price at the time of the takeover offer period. My take? I doubt it will get worse than the price now if all the negotiations fail.

Have you discussed this with me on the AST bb?! Looks like I have short term memory problems then! I'll look at the board's posting history now...

yeah, from what you says, it seems that the big big win from this share (and that RNS) is in the day trading opportunities.

First, thanks to all regarding your advice on SEPU. Thechukkers - do you have much experience day-trading a share subject to takeover approaches? Any key differences vs day trading other shares under a high volume?

There's so high SEPU can go realistically - I'm thinking of selling it all if it goes over 45 or by Tuesday PM, whichever comes first, and put it all back in NUOG (which I sold to get into SEPU this PM) or HNR. Thoughts? NUOG looks primed to leap up again soon.

HNR is not AIM. ;-) Did you sell NUOG because you saw a better opportunity for that money somewhere else? HNR?...
