I've just discovered that the desktop version of LSE.co.uk truncated the last words of my post of last night 'A "reputation" at stake on Twitter.' (The whole title was visible on the mobile version of the site only.) I will therefore take it that you were using the desktop version of the site yesterday and only saw 'A "reputation" at stake..' and I apologize for what I said to you in relation to that matter.

I'm always puzzled by the super-high spread shares - I wonder whether it's due to glitches in the MMs' systems, possibly due to lack of trading activity...

It's a #PLMO ramp tweet, but #NUOG appeared to be added only because Nigel Burton is in both - and probably to hook in NUOG holders. There is nothing in the link provided by goodshare that suggests that #NUOG (or #PLMO) is involved. Sharing the basic description of any field / license area does not constitute an indication, let alone evidence, that [insert your favourite oil & gas business name here] is involved... unfortunately that ploy still seems to work with many people. As mentioned here, clearly it's hot air indeed.

I was not upset in the least, just interested and trying to make a small attempt at finding out if Gossip Boy could be a member of this board. And you have no idea how much I have in this share - maybe much more than you do.

And nice language and demonstration of hypocrisy or very selective short-term memory (ie you didn’t seem to give any credence to my posts in the past few days!) Filtered. I must admit I deliberately did not post a link to that tweet partly to see whether people were already aware of it but were keeping quiet out of fear of getting associated with that claim of inside knowledge (the good old “who mentioned it dealt it”) even though there were very few specifics in that claim (usually people jump up on such tweets). Matrix - only an idiot or somebody gone way too far down the rabbit hole would rejoice at an anonymous poster’s claim of an RNS tomorrow. And actually Gossip Boy has NOT applied the same methods as those used by the typical trolls (or other people who don’t get called such names because they ramp the share) of this BB - unlike what seamonkey says, that tweeter actually very rarely tweets (two waves of tweets only IIRC), each one of his tweet has been different, quite specific and impossible to prove by outsiders until tonight’s one: we shall see tomorrow... This small episode also shows that all that RogerA needs is one anonymous person’s post not to do any research as small as looking up someone’s Twitter feed!

The mystery gossiper has pretty much staked his/her “reputation” on the line with this evening’s claim... Interesting that he/she posted it clearly after market close, probably to stay clear of any accusation of market manipulation if he/she is confident it will happen before positions can be open tomorrow morning. IF an RNS falls after market opens tomorrow (vs before 8am, or even none at all), that individual may end up in big trouble.

That 1m buy was preceded by a just-above-1m sell: it is likely that it was a bed & ISA transaction or equivalent.

It’s somebody deliberately trolling Bob Smith by creating an almost identical Twitter account and posting a totally unsubstantiated ramp to take the mickey out of him. The original Bob Smith reacted by calling the former a ****wit, but he then struggled to express himself clearly in the rest of his tweet - maybe out of rage for having been deftly counter-trolled! :-D

NUOG being UK based, it makes sense that the deal is made with Aker’s UK subsidiary than with the Norwegian holding company. I have no issues with that.
