Japan owns around 1 trillion. China is only 750 billion.

Its nowhere near as bad as presented on the surface. Only 24% of the overall debt is held outside of the USA by foreign countries - a lot is cross departments in the USA where they have a surplus in tax revenue, so they park that in government bonds.

Its not an assumption. The info i got is from online around trade percentage. 40% of the population generate 18% of the world trade - thats not good.

China is a make believe economy. Every industry is loaded with massive amounts of debt, then the government subsides the industry so they can offer cheap prices and flood the world with crap products. Then the government hides the debt in local councils. Basically a ponzi scheme thats already falling down after the real estate crisis and next will be EV.

Russia GDP - 2.5 Trillion

India GDP - 3.5 Trillion

Brazil GDP - 2.1 Trillion

South Africa GDP - 389.5 billion

Some context: Some companies generate more revenue than the entire GDP of some BRICS members:

Also then check how much trade is done between these countries as thats the only place where a BRICS currency can work? Vs how much they trade outside of BRICS?

Swingman did you read the whole thing? Its all historic, from years back related to expired options, so what's the problem? Given what the CEO / CFO achieved, I am ok that they get some rewards. Its much better than the company give them cash bonuses as their money is tied up in stock. Its not handled on the open market so literally no impact on any of us here.

The Newmount deal was on the side and its much better that they reduced their stake seeing as Wyloo purchased the shares.
