I had MPE on my watchlist for a while. They were using a share buyback to defend off a hostile bid. However, the price of palm oil dropped and the drop in MC followed. They are more vulnerable now then they were before the buyback scheme. However, invested in BP and their buyback works as it reduces the impact of having to issue dividends every quarter.
That said, no doubt they will be earning interest on the cash amount but they should either use it or return it to their investors.

Question is how many shares are going to be available when that dot starts flashing :) I am now sitting on an healthy profit after being 70% down. Patience has always been the hardest investment to make. Sentiment has certainly improved since Bergen sold. imo the recent placement news has only gone to improve that sentiment. Another negative out of the equation.

jointhedots. Would that have been wise when the BoDs knew RH had such a large amount of shares to dump? The board seem to have adopted a strategy of burying their head in the sands (no pun intended) during this period. I'm hoping that now we have seen the back of the Texan, they draw a line under it and start to return some investor value. I know sentiment is very poor with LTHs but the fundamentals are too compelling to ignore at this level.

Bill, just out of interest. Has Kym Denny been replaced yet? Cannot remember any statement from the company. IR need to step up their game.

Morning Bill. Good post. With all that said, Trevor Phillips was very naïve when he indicated in the presentation that the NIH was expected at any time. I did read somewhere that the NIH update does not determine whether or not FLU-v goes to P3 or not but is just an endorsement of HVO's findings.
Sadly the entire market focus is just on this compound. I know it is a possible 'game changer' for the company but the other positive news has been largely ignored.

Yamin, it is not the company that set the price. Their NOMAD would have advised the company (probably a week or so before RNS) They could have set the price too high(like BCN did) which would have destroyed investor sentiment.

Invested in Angus for about a year now and just about recovered my losses. I am bored of the ANGS v UKOG panto that some posters are 'playing out' How these guys make money from investing is beyond me. Success for one will help the other. I have made up my losses in ANGS by averaging down as soon as I was satisfied Bergen were all done selling.
Is there any poster here that can give me an educated guess on how many SOLO have yet to sell. I can only assume many investors are sitting on the sidelines waiting to invest and of course the supply will not be as liquid as it is now once they have finished.
Many investors will be frustrated with SOLO but imo they are doing shareholders here a favour. Great opportunity to buy or top up. Also by selling they are removing any overhang that may affect the sp going forward.

Will wait until there is news or the trend reverses. Typical sp movement in absence of news, especially when investors were informed that an announcement will be made shortly. Was down in another share by 70% a month ago and now up 10%. Will top slice there on the back of any news and use the cash to buy here. That's the plan all going well. On the plus side I wont be paying CGT on my shares outside of my ISA's.
Forgetting IMM post P3 trial for Lupuzor, they dropped to 19p prior to their trial and went as high as 191p, I know you cannot compare like for like but it is ridiculous how the market values shares one day and then prices in another valuation when the fundamentals have remained the same. Supply and demand I suppose.

#6, imo Bergen was good for investors. They gave the company essential funds that helped the company get to the production stage. Not only that, they off loaded the full amount prior to any significant news and taking out any 'overhang'. I agree that the current placing to raise funds is the better option now. The BoD's would have been frustrated at the discount but the price would have not been determined by them. Not a significant amount but enough to start the process of generating income.

Docisacoc, I agree with your comments in relation to the current support level, but if the market becomes short of shares 11.4 could be taken out without much effort.

Looking that way, bought my final tranche last week, 15 my highest and 10.4 being the lowest. Does seen a change in the trading pattern now. Not forgetting those small algo trades. Crazy MC based on cash in bank and current production but sentiment soon changes.

Maybe see the food side of the business as a way of bringing in customers to spend money at the bar. Margins on the food cannot be that great though and the market appears saturated with 2 for 1's and offers.

I posted over the weekend that a placing could be a positive if it is used to move the business into the production phase. Only investors that may feel disgruntled are the day traders who will have to wait a bit longer for their 10%. Number of shares in issue will still be relatively low, normal daily volume will soak them up when issued. No drama at all. On the cusp of becoming a producer of oil and revenue.

Herts, don't normally comment on this bb but I have been invested for 12 months. A write off for me at one point but thankfully just about in profit now. Some investors are probably throwing out the placing comment for their own agenda. However, in a feeble attempt to manipulate they are missing a key point. That being commercialisation. If funding is needed to maximise that then that is just good business practice. As you point out, it could be at a premium.
I was invested in IQE in the low 20's and they offered a placing in order to increase production. The sp doubled in over a week. The sp has not tanked this week, as posted earlier. The sp has consolidated. Be glad to see the back of day traders here. Exciting for some I suppose but fill the bb with misinformation for their own profit.

willow, I respect your view, but surely more profit would come your way if you invested in the company with a production licence and reinvest any returns in the company that have not got to that stage yet. How ANGS conduct themselves in the early production stages could have an impact on UKOG application. Not to mention the 'cash burn' in the process.

To be honest, it has become tiresome all the ANGS V UKOG comments. Success in all Weald companies will bring it's rewards.
