Head, I agree with Jersey. If the BoD's deliver as promised then this with rerate quite significantly. Strong shareholders remaining now despite the apparent stagnation. I think after the last trading update and the announcement of the contract investors waiting for the 'big news' on any FLU-5 deal decided to sell up. Remember, lots of traders bought into the rise post P11b update who were looking for a quick profit. Bio's are notoriously slow on news and lots of patience needed.

There is a clear difference between the role of Chairman, CEO and 'manager's. He is not a manager. However, if you think that he will be pointing out MARS dirty washing after the year end results would be ridiculous. He would have been in the role for about 1 week and any statement from the Chairman would take more than a day to put together. Not only is it price sensitive, any reduction in MC will be attributed to him. I know I'm wasting my time commenting further but we will just have to wait and see. No doubt he will comment on the future but not at the expense of becoming hostile to the rest of the board.

Looks like they are fully loaded now. Wouldn't surprise me if we start getting some PR and IR news. Despite the recent narrow trading band this endorses my belief that the sp will rerate significantly on positive news. Great example of institution loading up at the expense of pi's.

Hun Sen, don't understand your 'profit warning' comment but if you have concerns then perhaps you should have sold your entire holding. The last trading statement certainly met expectations. Of course there are risks with all investments. Earnings are pretty good and dividend covered.
When you say the 'new boss' I take it you referring to William Rucker. He will be the company's new Chairman and not the CEO. Furthermore his appointment is next week. I think he may update the city and investors on his vision and direction for the company but cannot see him releasing any statement that will deliberately undermine the sp. in order to massage his ego going forward. I would suggest researching the guy's background. He is not 'a new kid on the block' wanting to prove his standing in the business world.

I have and had several businesses in the UK and France. If any of my manager's employed your dirty laundry tactics on appointment then I would be questioning my HR dept. and very quickly remove them from their role. To deliberately undermine a business in order to support their lack of self esteem destroys the moral of other employees.

I think the 2 for 1 has probably pulled in more customers who will be more likely to buy drinks. It's obvious from previous comments on here that the standard of food varies throughout the Country.

Eldorado, my thoughts too. That was the reason I bought in yesterday. Not the best news to digest less than 24hrs later but producing oil when the PoO is trading at this level underpins any exploration setbacks.

Year end results across the sector may change that. Sentiment has always played it's part with many pubs closing. I guess when enough pubs have closed, the rest will take up any demand and perhaps reverse the trend. We also have to remember the 'beast from the east' that could offset the improving outlook over summer and analysts will be aware of that. This sector is now dominated by companies that do wet, dry and accommodation sales, increasing turnover in all 3 and protecting margins will take some doing.
GNK had better than expected sales, if MARS delivers on the back of the hot summer then sentiment may change. That said, with the current EPS and MC we are already undervalued so there is no reason why the sp should not rise from this level.

laptop, on NEX. I get the badge for paying the day's premium at 15.549. Was waiting for sub 15 but the large order and small AT trades was the catalyst to buy. I suppose when the sp strengthens then a penny or two here and there won't really matter.
