easyp, the BoD's have never really been good at communication except when funds are required. I have always assumed I the past that the company were in negotiations and ND contracts were in place. That was certainly the case when they paid Torreya Partners all that money. TM played a blinder raising the 10m prior to the P3 results and probably saved the company from going under post results with the cash raised. I think there is a lack of trust now and only assume a lot of institutional investors got burnt too.
The sad truth here is that Lupuzor's route to market has been derailed (for now) and although many will be feeling the financial loss, it is those sufferers that are losing out.

Another thing of note, in the history of the company, directors have only bought a total of 120k shares. One of them actually sold 12 months later which instigated a 30% fall in the sp. Imo, IMM investor relations have to start building confidence again. A clear strategy and be more forthcoming with news. Trust is the key.

zooter, been watching this for months now, I struggle to see why the company is so 'unloved' Was tempted to take a bite at 82p but the sp fell back. Again surprised to see it in the red despite the RNS

Hi Bill. HVO investor website was last updated 24th July. Not trying to split hairs but I get the figure lower. Just under 80m shares in issue. There has been share options for employees since that date but the following significant shareholders above the 3% mark.

This of course does not take into account the reduction/increase and the employee holdings. I would also guess that the remaining shares are with pi's. It is fair to say half of those are likely to be LTH's that can see past expected news.

Woodford and Invesco now have almost 60% of the voting rights. imo, this is not a 'punt' or a binary bet. Last time I looked there was about 15% of the shares in free-float. Even less now, cannot think of another listed bio with such a low number of shares on offer. Makes you wonder what the relationship between Investor Relations and these institutions is like.

agree fairdealer. I meant to post 3 broker upgrades for GNK, It certainly wouldn't come as a surprise if they did beat their figures. A good market report prior to the normal rise prior to ex d later in the year should see the sp looking a lot healthier.

Bodes well for MARS. 3 broker updates (which I always take with a pinch). With a new CEO too then you would have to be brave to short this company. Early signs of a change in sentiment for this sector, time will tell.

Apologies, I fogot to add that MS target by 2021 may come sooner if PoO continues to trade above $55 which looks highly likely. That could be the catalyst for a rerate of the sp.

Caitlin, you never know. If so then I will be holding as many shares as fruit. Morgan Stanley seem very bullish though. They expect the company to have a FCF of about 14 to $15billion by 2021. Their recent shale gas purchase coming online soon. They base their figures on $55 a barrel. Market sentiment seems to be dragging the sp down at the moment despite PoO being in the upper 70's.
I think in the short-term that is what may get you your price but imo it's a toss of a coin.

Non the less. Good to see a rise. I noticed that The Restaurant Group sales dropped over the summer citing the world cup as the cause. From memory MARS increase (slightly) in the same period. I think it is all to easy to knock our investment and doubt our decision to buy. I know I do but then I look at our MC not to mention the assets. Wider market getting hit again not a bad day for MARS investors..

Jr, bored is good when you compare the wider market. Some good FTSE companies getting dragged down on sentiment. Good port in a storm with bio's. Your right with news back in June. Trev not good at managing expectations but at least it has allowed the Woodford Group to increase without having to pay a premium.

From memory the buyback was originally planned until this years AGM. Clearly this has been extended. I'm sure I read a RNS stating when it will be concluded. Anyone know exactly?

msuk. Hardly huge at 60000. I wouldn't assume it was a sell either. Still waiting for news here to see what direction the company is taking and whether to buy or not based on that. I guess many more are taking a similar position. All the best to those still holding.

Head, many reasons why they drop the sp. Knocks sentiment, frees up shares and in some cases done to trigger stop losses. Saw a similar pattern many times with IMM. who also had a relatively small free-float and a lack of liquidity. They need shares to trade. I have no doubts about that.

ship, quite a cowardly post. Maybe you should have shared your views when the sp was above £2. I live outside of the UK but my local PAH in Lancs is always busy especially at weekends and after 5. I assume they enjoy the shopping experience that you don't get at B&M or Lidl. No doubt you do, but I like to speak to staff that have experience and knowledge when it comes to caring for my animals. As for staff morale, that is certainly not from my observations. All good retailers have VIP cards and rightly so. That is unfortunately a tradeoff from the world of the internet.
The vet side of the business is also very positive and will prevent the monopoly that small practices have over their clients living in small town and villages that charge exuberant prices for basic treatments.
Always very wary when a new poster pops up on a bb with the objective of deterring others to invest.

I really must stop calling her the 'current mrs leas' despite her referring to me as Victor Meldrew. In fact my bb name is a result of the most important people in my life, each letter is the initial of my daughter's and wife's forename.
Advancement of science and medicine is so important to all of us and that is what really matters here. Although, I know a rising sp follows. Investment is an essential part of that jigsaw to achieve that goal and at times very frustrating. Looking forward is what is important and wish each and everyone the very best with their investment. After all, your success here will benefit many more than those on a share register.
