Jimzi, I have come to the conclusion that the mindset of investors and directors are different. Of course there are those that see investors as 'cash cows' but there are some that are focused purely on the business side. Especially in this sector, scientists I think get more satisfaction on developing their research rather than monetary gains. They don't seem to focus on entry and exit points like we do. Tbh, if you options at 5p then there is very little downside.

Jimzi, Director buys/sells always mystify me with bio companies. IMM directors were selling when you would think they should be buying and visa versa. I couldn't understand why Kym Denny stood down when the company was so close to announcing trial results. I think the market couldn't understand it either which resulted in the sp falling further.
Anyone's guess if you ask me.

Good platform to move up from. Directors and Institutions fully loaded now as we await the NIH. Not sure of the procedure in the way those results are announced, whether or not word of mouth before the official report but all looking good. If we can see a sp rise again on anticipation then we should breach recent highs.
Remember, we have other lead compounds in development all of which are showing positive signs. This is not a 'one trick pony'

moniman, at this price the company is a snip if anyone is eyeing them up for a takeover. Brokers will be bullish on this as the business progresses and stop thinking that they are a 'regular retailer'. The Vets business will strengthen as customers become confident in their service and start to generate loyalty based growth.

My only concern in relation to my investments is the risk of a market selloff which imo is overdue. Those undervalued companies will of course get caught up in any correction. The yield does offer a cushion over a period of time which also convinces me to stick with it. BT and BP have gone ex div today so caught between investing the money here or MARS

I think after the trading update there is not much to discuss. Everything has been laid out on the table. I would guess investors that can see value have already taken a position by now.

Think we have consolidated at or above 550 now, I was hoping it would dip below but more likely imo to break 600p.

Wow, some investors have the patience and attention span of a 2 year old. The sp has almost doubled in the last couple of weeks and a 14% rise is not good enough. Todays approval will be the catalyst for further news and a continued rise back to a sensible valuation. If you cannot afford to invest a little time you shouldn't be investing at all.

The nearest marston near to my family's place is the Houghton Arms. Recently refurbed, now having functions and extremely busy on all afternoons/evenings. They seem to do regular theme nights as I get many marketing emails. I will be trying out the menu with my new Privilege Member card.

Today the shorter's must be having a day off in the Pub. The sp has actually rose together with my other shorted company PETS. Even DEB has risen a tad.

wideyed, my only investment in the last 2 years following the trend was ANGS. Bought at 28p on a spike. Found myself sitting on a 400% loss at one point. Made an excellent return on IMM which tested my patience at times. Did quite a bit of research in HVO earlier on in the year and managed to buy and hold at an average of 19. I always find that investing the money is the easy part. The hardest part is investing your patience to realise a return.

Watched the video link this morning. Glad that commonsense prevailed. British hypocrisy at it's best. No longer live in the UK but still have a place in the North of England. Sick and tired of planning being challenged in the South based on it being proposed near to rural villages or areas of natural beauty. No doubt those objectors will return back home in their 4x4s and book the next flight to the Caribbean to console themselves.
No one raises an eyebrow when nuclear waste gets buried under the lake district. The BBC weather only focusses on the South East. Great place to fill the fields with solar panels if you ask me. It's always sunny there.

Woodford is on a parity with Invesco' s holdings. Any trading is likely to be dominated by those impatient investors chasing rainbows elsewhere. Only pressure on the sp is from private investors.

Not so sure Lo don is the most expensive. Maybe the tourist areas. I used to drink I pubs around the Brixton area and were a tad more expensive than similar pubs in the Lancashire area. I live for half of the year in France and the average cost of a pint of lager is 5.5 euro. Local produced wines is 3e a bottle but sell it I the restaurants and bars at 4e a glass. Nothing better imo than going into a British pub selling hand pumped ales. May not be as popular as it used to be but trends change. Diversification offers support to a business that was too dependant on that in the past. At least MARS has recognised that.

moniman. PETS could be a takeover target at any time. However, I just don't see a 'smoke and mirrors' approach being planned with the knowledge of fund managers. The business would be sold on the fundamentals and not by a derisory offer based an the current MC at that time. In any case, I'm sure the BoD's would be aware of what (if any) sharks are circling them. The update last week supports my view that this company is being shorted because they can. Making money from an act that imo is corrupt. Government always say they will make it an illegal practice but never do.
Prompts the question. Why not?

Hun Sen, certainly no expert and no one can predict future price. However, with MARS relegation out of the 250 I don't think it will be a reason for the sp to fall further. The almost 8% yield will attract investors (like myself) to buy and hold. I am not aware if significant shareholders reducing considerably and the weakening sp has been helped along by the short selling. The fundamentals do not suggest that the company are struggling and I would be comfortable adding at this price. My BT div will be invested here.

How can someone get 2k in dividends for this quarter and not know that ISA wrapped investments are non taxable?
