Bamps, have you got the link? Not concerned as the largest position of just over 1% is taken by JP Morgan, The rest are insignificant and total 2.6%. PETS in the retail sector have short positions of nearly 14% but the stores always seem busy and customers queue to put money I the till.
Some interesting thoughts from paul Mumford of Cavendish Opportunities Fund. He believes that Pub chains such as MARS will pick up business as incomes become squeezed. Customers looking for cheaper alternatives when eating out. Not sure if posted before but it is how I also read the market. Some of the imported beers are getting expensive too which may sway some punters back to real ales.

Thanks Simon. I have read and re read the RNS. The reason I asked was because it reads a little ambiguous. I wish companies would give some thought on the wording sometimes. I can see a need for further investment after commissioning in q1 2020 but of course the sp would be much higher. I was just wondering if the company has given guarantees that the fund raising will cover the costs until that point.

From their RNS 'The gross proceeds from the Placing will allow the Company to continue towards its stated intention of commissioning the Project during Q1 2020.' Maybe I am looking too deeply into it.

Dino, GNK downgraded but Dimensional Fund have taken a reported position of over 5%. A figure plucked out of the air to fit their own agenda. Been back in the UK for several weeks and see plenty of people walking to the local. If MARS had a MC of 1.2b then I can understand why the market would be concerned. Not forgetting the yield.

Why would Dimensional Fund be adding if outlook merits a downgrade? As always a figure plucked out of the air by brokers to suit their own agenda..

Was looking at this a couple of weeks ago and was tempted to buy in the mid 80s. I currently have 2 EVs and fully understand the increasing demand for battery grade lithium. Could anybody advise me if the raising of funds will cover the initial build and construction cost at Sonora. If so is that guaranteed? I'm sure it has been covered before but would need clarification prior to making an investment.

moniman, given your reasoning then the same could be said of PETS. Those 13% shorts taken out in that company could account for the falling sp. Of course we both know different. Just to correct you, the sp has actually risen nearly 300% since the FLU-5 update. Nothing goes up in a straight line, especially when institutions want the greater share of the pie.

That may be so but 75% or more are in the hands of institution's. If the flow of shares were going into hands of the pi then I would be concerned. Trying to second guess the strategy of ii's is futile but what cannot be denied is the number of shares in free float since the trial updates has reduced.

Mozax, thank you for the update. Should initiate at least 1 RNS tomorrow. I know HVO don't intend to take this to P3 themselves but the stage 2 trials pretty much indicate further development will be a success. If so, I can imagine there is a lot of interest from many large bio companies geared up to taking this to market. Exciting times for HVO.

K3y, the sp is firmly under the control of the institutions. Although frustrating to see the current sp and the day to day trading, in the absence of news we are nothing more than spectators. Most of the shares held by then were purchased at a price above Friday's close and prior to FLU-5 update on P11b. Trust me in terms of patience required for a bio company very little Is needed here.

That article was discussed at the time and the sp fell to 15p after those results. The p11b trial was a success and the commercial aspect will be developed by a third party. At 22p I bought my first tranche as I thought the other compounds will also hold significant value if successful. Sometimes the investor only determines success based on the sp. As I have posted before, putting the other lead compounds to one side, the potential commercialisation of a blockbuster drug makes our current MC a joke. The annual royalties alone, should they chose that road could potentially be worth more than our current day valuation.

Sit tight, and wait for news. Not much patience is needed here. Free float shares in sticky hands now so the rise on the back of positive news (as expected) should be extreme. Good luck to all genuine holders.

Bamps, not resident of UK but return quite often. The pubs and Inns in central Lancs seem very busy. Our local one, the Cavendish has great food, reasonable prices. If I was to make a criticism, it would be the staff are young and need training. That said, the price of the food reflects that and is nothing more than an irritation. Maybe this fine weather may sway people that normally book a late holiday to stay in the UK and support UK business.

As you say, patience is the key. I think the current weather and sporting events will sort out the wheat from the chaff and the company will have a good idea in identifying weakness and strengths throughout the chain.
