Totally agree Jimzi. Exactly the same pattern prior to FLU-5. Recovery was pretty swift after news though.

Fuel, I think the flu-5 updates are weighing down on the sp. Nothing has changed other than the additional contracts and zika news. Case of sitting back and ignoring day to day trades.

Some chunky trades. Institutional? Don't want to raise it up too much or drop it too far. Very controlled.

The reason why we are not bouncing out of the 10s is because someone is putting a brake on the sp. Why is the question. Any momentum is stifled by these small trades.

Eldorado, the company is not struggling though. Management and communication is a problem though. If the sp was 45p today, I would still think the same.

If you look at the gearing if the company, EPS and other fundamentals then I would suggest 20p is far too cheap. Who is to say that a company is only worth x amount because of the price the market places on it today. Why was it 24p last year. No point in labouring the point. Each to their own. Only opinions.

Eldorado, wouldn't take it too personally. I think a takeover would be the worst case scenario for private investors. No doubt that figure was plucked out o the air. However, if a company wanted to buy a company on the open market then I would guess the sp would rerate pretty quickly on the back of supply and demand. At 29.9% they would then have to notify the market of their intentions and will be forced to make an offer. Theoretically, you cannot buy a company on the open market, especially when institutional investors have an interest.

You pays your money. I always buy in 3 tranches whether it's below above my initial purchase. Obviously that is reviewed between each purchase. Yes there are negatives with this company but as I have posted before the current MC reflects that and imo that sentiment is making it look oversold. I was down 70% in Angs 2 months ago and when there was a reversal of sentiment it recovered as much as 200%. Personally I don't care what the views of other members, I make my own decisions. I don't look at blaming 'ramper's or deramper's' for my investment decisions or get emotionally attached to a company. What I post on here or what others post is irrelevant to the day to day sp movements. It does however reflect sentiment. Frustrating as it is, I think this is a good play in this sector. Poor management, cash in bank. Low cost producer. There are worse oil shares to be invested in. Some have a higher valuation than AMER and don't produce any oil. They will also require further funding to become commercial.

Rocket, totally agree. Screaming buy at this price. Naturally I'm biased being invested but for all the negatives in relation to the BoD's and production are reflected in the sp. If our MC was 400m then I would be concerned about the falling PoO.
If you look at ANGS and UKOG and combine their MC it exceeds AMER's value, neither of which are producing one drop of oil. PoO may be dropping but the trading range is still very much higher than it was 12 months ago.

Took a small position at 1.93 on the anticipation of the expected news being better than expected. Now in 2 Weald companies. Also on expectation that SOLO are out or almost out. Maybe not of any importance to some investors here but it could have a significant affect on the sp when the EWT results are reported.

Neither company obliged to release a RNS. My guess is, investors are waiting or have taken a position post 3% threshold and of course prior to the EWT

Midterms in US out of the way too. Your money, your choice. Good luck in whatever you invest in. I don't share your concerns in relation to oil prices. Current MC, assets and cash gives a more compelling reason to invest. That said, I fully understand why some LTH's may feel a little 'punch drunk' here but of course the most difficult part of investing is not the cash but one's time.

Margaret, good luck with your investments outside of AMER. Hope you are not down too much. I was 70% down in ANGS a month ago. Now I'm 20% up after building up a further position post SCC news. My investment strategy is different and see an opportunity to accumulate prior to news/change in sentiment. Also invested in BP at 460 that had similar poor sentiment earlier in the year.
The PoO may have dropped but over a 12 month period the price is at a very good average for the company to make good revenue. Looking at your posting history (retired and plenty of time on my hands between property renovations) I see that you have an interest in HUR. Based on your earlier comments, in respect of oil prices would it not be better to look at other commodities?

Superman, shares are going to be submitted for trading on the 22nd of this month. 22m is not huge volume to move on the back of the interest prior to production. The market see's the recent placing as a positive despite the discount given by the company NOMAD. Any flipped shares will easily be absorbed.
