The future for AMP is looking better now as the strengthening sp is reducing the risk and provides them with a stronger negotiation position should that need arise. I'm sure Walbrook will try their best to raise interest, the Cantor Summit provides that opportunity. Interesting that the The Trout Group are holding an Investor Conference on the same day discussing Investor Opportunities for select clients. MTFB could be one of those opportunities.

That may be the case but sometimes too much information can be misleading. I suppose you can never please everyone. IN relation to CB I have a very sceptical view of what is said. My investment in JLP was not a happy one. Lucky to escape with my investment intact, selling on a spike. Bottom line I suppose is the profit. Significant shareholders may ask for some of that to be divided up as a reward for their patience.

Also interesting on the others attending the conference in the US on the 17th. The company is clearly gearing up now to increase their profile. Recent trading pattern and consolidation should give the next leg up some support prior to the next big news. Confidence is high.

Thank you for that. It was the large quantity that I posed the question as purchasing them at the best price possible is in the interests of everyone. There seems a lack of IR and PR from the company and was wondering if that was the reason. (observation not a criticism) Only negative I can see as an investor is the political situation. I cannot see any other reason on why the MC is so poor.

ragnarlothbrok (is that an anagram :) Apologies, couldn't resist. Do you know if there is any indication when the share buyback scheme may end. I have this on my watch list and looking to invest some profit from another investment. The value is plain to see, but is it not in the company's interest to subdue the price until this process has concluded?

Depends on your portfolio and exposure. Sucessful NDA would return a profit in both but the falls in AMP can be as wild as the rises. When mtfb drifted lower from 40p to 32p Amps fall was much greater and the spread was poor.

DEST look good value if you look at the price paid by CMS. That support alone should give holders a lot of confidence in respect of R&D. Also a relatively small number of shares up for grabs for the pi. I don't know enough about the science but they do seem quite a way from any phase 3 trial. I would guess there will be quite a few twists and turns on that road but I'm sure there are more informed investors on here that have researched the company

Utrecht from memory it was significant shareholders putting the company under pressure to split the iron and platinum interests. However, that was before the Chinese were stockpiling iron ore. When it did eventually happen they did not raise as much as expected. I think the IRON shares initially priced at 3p and rising to about 10p. I did lots of research here and held for a few years before eventually selling after the frustration of the unions over there. I thought their tailings would be protected from the unions by the very nature of the production but they put pressure on the transport drivers and affecting production. Safety in the mines has now improved massively and the political situation is more stable. Very different fundamentals now and very attractive as a potential investment.

beaver, my other investment IMM has been firmly under the control of the institutions for years. I personally prefer it that way as there is usually a smaller number of shares available in free float. Have a peek at theirs, lots of O trades of late due to the herd arriving but the majority are 'A' trades. Frustrating that your investment and research is not playing out as expected but if you can afford to sit back and let them play their games then the fundamentals eventually win through. I expect everyone has their own view but that is my take on things.

beaver, I have stopped trying to second guess. I think every LTH has a view. Maybe some trying to close shorts without having to pay a premium. Could be many more reasons, but it has been relentless. My view is that the market should be for everyone with the same rules but of course that doesn't apply in finance.

Nice steady unremarkable rises will be good prior to the NDA. Should keep it off the radar of short term investors. Still many ATs but they seem to be supporting the recent gains now. Certainly a 'different feel' here. Patience still required but not as frustrating as it has been of late.

Brakes off in relation today's RNS

Ivy, maybe an indication that the brakes are coming off. A 'controlled rise' may be good prior to the NDA. A relatively small number of shares in free float that go into sticky hands should do nicely. I do feel that institutions are positioning themselves now for the expected re rate. Just a gut feeling but very positive.

also easy to forget that with FDA fast track approval a company only has to evidence that the benefits outweigh any risks. That has already been nailed on. :)

Afternoon Ivy. I totally agree on a rise on the back of news but I think new investors yet to buy will be the driving force behind any sentiment. I think what investors overlook (not just pi's) is the NDA is conjunction with advice and guidance from the FDA. I'm not saying that approval is a foregone conclusion but this is just part of the route to market. My guess is that the company are working beyond that, trying to get this commercial as soon as. Another reason why today's RNS may be routine but very important towards achieving that.

DT67, imo if that scenario did playout then the short term gains will be pleasing. However, imo based on a successful NDA then the pi will once again be holding a derisory sum based on the true value. I'm sure most IMM holders would have been happy with 90p 12 months ago. Now I guess they would have a different view.
