Congratulations, nice to see a pi making a profit. I have bought one tranche and holding back cash for any pullback or consolidation. Not confident that will happen now as expectations grow going into Feb. Got a couple of Gold producers on my radar if that occurs but LTHs must be very pleased with the recent sp performance.

Visitor, many thanks. I did read on their website about 'honouring their commitment to SLP' although I cannot find it. Perhaps they may supply some mining waste to their dump sites. Who knows. Also interesting that the Chinese have taken a controlling interest in Wesizwe, securing a supply for the Asian market. I was reading an article this week about China being fully focused now on cleaning up the emissions from manufacturing and transport. I can only see a rise in demand for platinum. I know this flies in the face of opinion but the infrastructure for EVs is a long way off global change. A quarter of the Earth's population still don't have electricity.

Seems to be more likely now unless they have a change of strategy. I was looking at other Platinum Producers in Africa and thought how much Tharisa mirrors SLP. Largely owned by the Pouroulis family and keen to distribute dividends. No doubt most investors here read the midas article. The fundamentals here seem so compelling. Visitor, I think the very least they can do is provide a reason if they don't issue one. I'm moving some funds from one successful investment into here. I have been here before and still follow the news and updates and have been tempted once or twice when they were sub 10p. I do prefer to invest 'on the up' rather than looking for the bottom so this fits in nicely. Also the situation in S.A. is much more aligned now to foreign investment. Lesetja Kganyago has just been elected as Chairman (Chairwoman :) of the IMF so any more labour unrest would be embarrassing. What I do know from past experience is that the CEO is non pushy when it comes to PR and refreshing to know that the facts and figures will do the talking. After all he has no control over the metals markets. So I suppose from that aspect any announcement in relation to a dividend would certainly increase exposure to more investors. However, I would think that their competitors are already aware. I'm still researching and getting up to speed but O/T, do you know the link between Wesizwe and SLP. Do they provide the tailings from one of their mines? Many thanks leas

Just been looking at the financials. What is the company's strategy in relation to generating revenue and developing the business. Is that revenue being used to develop interests already required or continue to increase it's assets. Not really a fan of broker targets and the FT mention seems pretty conservative.

CG Tax in relation to the BoD.

I would guess that being listed on AIM keeps the company off a lot of investors radar associating the company with risk and fund raising. Of course the opposite applies and presents a great buying opportunity at this price.

I think the BoD's will be quite happy to maintain current production levels with the low production costs. I suppose 'higher prices sustained' is very ambiguous but time will tell. A good opportunity to invest on AIM without the worry of funds needed to become profitable. Our very own cash cow. A great business model here, surface and near surface production. Ability to generate a profit even with supressed Pt prices.

The last presentation stated that the corporate strategy would be to issue a dividend to shareholders when PoP had increased and Echo was funded from internal resources and rolled out across operations. Rand against the $ is strong. Diesel vehicles being manufactured are now in decline in favour of petrol. However that gain may be offset with increasing EVs. A dividend payment should attract more investors but I think the BoD's have to be clearer when that will be. For me, generating cash and profit is more than enough reason to invest, especially when they have achieved this in tough market conditions. All we need now is an American rapper to start wearing Platinum chains rather than Gold. :)

kels, IMM are very different. P140 is their most advanced compound with 4 others being developed. Their funding has been structured differently and the potential market for Lupuzor is $18b. There is no other drug on the market except GSK Benlysta that has horrendous side effects and is expensive. So far IMMs compound is safe and may be able to treat other crossover diseases associated with the immune system. The current $18b Lupus market does not include those that are unable to take Benlysta such as transplant patients or those suffering from organ failure. I am invested in both but trust me, you cannot compare like for like.

Bailey, likewise. Hope the years of investing have been kind to you. You were always a well informed investor over at IQE and SLP. I have had an excellent run on bios since moving from commodities. Sentiment seems to have flipped so I am recycling my profits. I have been looking at AMER for a while after reading a news article a few months back. There was also a discussion in Parliament that caught my eye on the situation in South American Politics. There is now an understanding by some governments that foreign investment and exports are key to any improvement in living standards in those countries. Without it, inflation becomes too high and their currency becomes worthless. This of course leads to civil unrest. I suppose investments there and in S.A. have that element of risk. Although in different sectors, there are similarities between SLP and AMER. I think revenue makes that risk easier to take. Will post a couple of links that may be of interest but I know you will be fully researched. Had a good look at this last night and cannot understand why it is in this trading range.
