SLP did rise to a high of 60p in 2010 from memory and the decline in the PoP coincided with a downgrade from Goldman Sachs. Picked this link up from the SXX bb. Maybe the start of the reversal in commodity prices.

Juxtapose, totally agree. Unfortunately investors tend to mirror society as a whole. Instant gratification or they move on. Investors do the easy bit by parting with their money but are reluctant to invest any time waiting. Imo, it would be better for holders here if the price grew steadily without the herd arriving. Maybe that is why the sp has struggled to break out.
Likewise here and good luck with all your investments.
BaileyC, good afternoon sir. Been revisiting a company we were both invested in many years ago. No, not the one that got away :( but the Platinum one. I have had a look here in the past and can see the attraction in investing. However, if you want to consider the negatives it would be the area they operate in. I'm sure it has already been discussed in the past but it is frustrating when you know the fundamentals of the business are good.
I think investors in VOG have realised that as I did with African mines.
Take care and all the very best

Thanks Ragnar. Managed to buy at just under 14.45p. Holding back a bit more cash in case it falls back a bit (wider market rather than fundamentals here) P/E improving with share buyback. PoP seems to be holding, good jobs data and growth in the US should see demand rise.
I did bags of research here a few years ago but got caught out with the mining unrest. That was despite SLP having a great safety record. Managed to get out on a spike without losing. My only concern here are the influences outside of their control but that is the nature of investing.

Frustrating but difficult to compare like for like. Investing in bios is always frustrating but if you do your research and know the risks then eventually you get your reward. The risk here was the P3 trials. Now its about gearing up for commercialisation. Forget the noise around other companies unless they are in your portfolio. So easy to make mistakes chasing rainbows when you see major rises in other companies based on hype.
No denying the frustration here but as always, patience.

sheltie, have to agree. IMM was even more frustrating than this. That said, institutions are now increasing their holding. Not forgetting the number of shares that have been issued in order to finance where we are today. Sp flat but increase in MC.
Presentation today. Be interesting to see how it goes down with other bios and institutions.
Sp range bound atm so any update may just help us along. Of late the sp has closed flat on the close. Let's see if the trend continues.
btw. there is a link going round the bb's 'pumpanddump.com' (or something like that. If you type your member name on any bb then their software identifies it as a ramp. I need to get out more,,,,,
Thanks b@@m. I have looked at AGL many times in the last few years but chose to top up on IMM. I see AMYT as good value at the current MC with the possibility of further distribution deals. I think being commercial fits in nicely with the other 2. They seem more than happy to attract partners for the purpose of furthering their products which is essential in Asia. I have read China are doing quite a bit of genealogy studies into controlling cholesterol due to the rising numbers of heart disease sufferers. I did not realise that standard treatments in western Europe do not work in China.
I had a look at the DEBRA link you posted, they seem very positive on the work they are doing. Fundamentals look good. Majority of shares with institutions. Software AG involvement is very interesting as I'm sure their experience will identify any commercial opportunities. Some very smart people associated with the company.
Thanks B@@m, as always your thoughts are appreciated.

HMV did the same, pay a dividend (high yield) before going into admin the same year. Not that I am saying that is what is going to happen here, the fundamentals are completely different. A dividend should be an indication of how the business is performing but sadly that is not the case.
boom, been looking here for a few weeks. Are you invested? Top sliced at IMM to buy MTFB and looking to do the same there to possibly buy here. Sp taking a breather but expect the rise to continue. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Have to agree Ivy, poor journalism but helps with their profile and hopefully new investors. I think I read a price target of $28 on one of the buy recommendations (Nasdaq). Of course successful commercialisation would lead to very much more.

I think people underestimate the difficulty and the size of task taking a drug through successful stage 3 trials. Not only that but with the support of the FDA and fastrack status. Very little dilution in achieving that.
Of course there are other significant hurdles and milestones ahead but this should already be the talk of AIM.
The sp is not always an indication of success.
Hunky 'success in a few year's ' Do me a favour. Let's hope your wrong. Similar comments about IMM last year when you stated that their MC would not exceed 60m.
No doubt you will say your still invested. ;)
Surely that would mean the warrant holders all colluding for that purpose. I cannot see that being in anyone's interest. In any case, relatively small number of shares and not massive amount of shares in free float. No doubting imo that the sp is being manipulated but only to allow institutions to take a position at the lowest price possible.
Every investor has differing views and that is why we have a market.
Not a level playing field but there we are.
