Utrecht, on his maiden speech on the state of the nation (last Friday) he also made this comment
�There is a greater sense of optimism among our people. Our people are hopeful about the future. Business confidence among South African companies has improved and foreign investors are looking anew at opportunities in our country,�
I also note Zimbabwe are in the process of trying to reverse the Policies of RM and encourage foreign investment back into their mining industry. Unfortunately, that's the 'rub of the green' with PGM producers and the geographical location of the metals. That's said, the political situation was why I sold my SLP shares many years ago and despite all the corruption, uncertainty and soundbites the company has had continued growth. Despite investor confidence or lack of it the situation is much better now. Time will tell of course and maybe the current sp reflects any uncertainty.
