Babs, cannot compare the sp movement with IMM. The sp is the 3rd day of being 'pumped' Like it was pumped prior to phase 3 readout. When the herd have left it will drift back down, unless there is positive news.

Looks like a good entry point for me yesterday. Was a little concerned about the reason for the drop but having read and re read the 'lines between' it seems that there was in fact nothing to justify it. Imo, the opposite should apply now. Not many shares up for grans so any buying pressure will see a reverse north pretty quickly.

PP, Imutex published their findings on the 26th March which coincided with a fall from 52p. Don't know if it was coincidental to the RNS or as a result of but I'm sure LTHs would know. Maybe the market expected more from their findings but I read it as a positive outcome. Been researching and watching here and cannot work out why the sp has fallen so much.

Spread has been putting me off this week. It doesn't seem to deter the of buyers. Expecting a further rise towards close so dipped in for 20k shares at a tad under 25p. The BoD's will have some explaining to do if there is negative news that was not declared earlier. Tomorrow we should see.

fruit, cannot find anything coming from the US. Just the news on the 'oil spill' being resolved and the final payable amount over the next 17yrs. That is the only news that is at the forefront and no doubt accounts for the rise today. May spark a few analyst reports later this week that may determine the sp.

I have been watching AMER for a few months. Was going to buy but was a little concerned over their distressed seller. When I know that MH has finished then will look again. Other than that the fundamentals look ok. BP looking a little more resilient of late. Billy I'm hoping the 510 target of yours is exceeded. roses, I had 30% left on the table at IMM. Some LTH's that posted regularly seemed to have faded away in the last month. I'm only guessing but there will not be many that adopted that strategy of buy and hold despite the very good P3 recruitment and safety record of the trial. I'm a sad today for the sufferer's of Lupus who had so much hope for an alternative to benlysta. Unsurprisingly that has been overlooked on the bb. Who would have thought that by the end of today SCLP's sp could be on a parity with IMM. What was it that Jimmy Greaves use to say.............

'world tensions' being the only thing holding the sp back. I think sentiment can change overnight. I think the weak rouble will be a concern to the Russian govt. who will not want to upset the current status quo with foreign investment and risk further weakness.

Actually not quite correct. 20% of BP's oil interests in Russia. Not 20% of value. Significant is quite an odd choice of words too. Yes it may drop and yes it could quite significantly rise. 😁

billy, I pity his press secretary who has to unravel and explain his remarks. Bush made then mistake of announcing that the US was at war after 911. He then had to find himself an opponent to justify a retaliation. Worrying times in the short term. That said, the markets have reacted favourably to him bumbling his way through on his Chinese produced iPhone. :)

Held up nicely. Seems a tricky number to break and hold. Just turned blue over in the US so I suspect it gave the sp some support towards the close. Onwards and hopefully upwards. Ex div not too far now. :)

Comparisons with BP? Come on guys. Lazy posting and research. Oil is only a part of BP revenue. Solar, Gas, Wind, not forgetting the retail arm. Also have a look at their business plan going forward. The majority of their earnings will not come from oil. HUR may be undervalued but you have to keep it in perspective.

Congratulations on your purchase. Think there is a little institutional buying and selling in the background but cannot see the sp going much lower. Have to admit I am frustrated with the buyback scheme which I no longer see as adding value to the company when that cash could be used towards paying a dividend. My avg is 14 so happy to wait as I think we are close to a change of strategy. Cannot see significant shareholders tolerating it much longer either. Better use of cash in the bank imo

Good luck over at RDSB. Apart from the obvious defensive companies, I think the whole of the market would be marked down whilst waiting for any response from Russia, political or military. Again we wait for sp direction from the states......
