billy, I read a couple of analyst reports last month and their opinion was in the 70 dollar range after possibly hitting 100 and then falling back late summer. I think the range Dudley's has in mind is on the conservative side but will still boost earnings.

Who cares, the trend is up. When those earnings figures are reported the sp will be driven on the fundamentals and focus will not be entirely on the PoO. The dividend has already paid for a family holiday in June and the next one will no doubt pay for another. Better investment of funds than a timeshare. :)

fruitbat. Your post on the 28th April... 'FTSE 7800-8000 before reversal. �600 BP on the cards ,my goal is �642' A profit is a profit though. Good luck with your next investment. The sp may fall back or continue to climb. As I have posted before, pi's are nothing more than spectators as far as the price is concerned. This is firmly under control of the 'City Institutions' imo, buying at a low and selling at the top is complete luck.

billy, there was an article in the Daily Economist that Europe may dump the Petrodollar and purchase Oil from Iran with the Euro. Tusk's speech today was also interesting, at worst anti Trump over recent policy changes in relation to Iran and the Jewish Embassy. Not sure how this will play out but normal rules do not seem to apply atm. Conflict and confusion seems to be the US foreign policy.

Still waiting this one out drop. I will decide what to do on news. Nothing to add until then, but news will come of course.

beatroot, that mirrors my thoughts too. The market is factoring in the strengthening sp but when the numbers are published it should be pleasant reading. Just like the sp the PoO will fluctuate but the trend is up. Any retrace may be a buying opportunity for those investors feeling that they have missed the boat. If it did I may average up on expectation of the div yield increasing as widely expected.

Private investors may be jumping in but the institutions are driving the price forward. Yes it may retrace but we are mere spectators. Many private investors already invested will be sitting on a tidy profit and banked dividends. On that basis I don't think many will be that concerned.

Looking that way billy. No reason why the current trend should reverse. Last Monday the sp was at 552 and we have closed at 564. Not only that we have gone ex div. Not getting carried away but it wasn't long ago when we were discussing the 500p resistance. Good weekend to one and all ...

You never know the rising price of oil may eat into the normal ex div drop today. A bit of sp consolidation after the recent rise would be good. Difficult to call with the PoO likely to strengthen. Worsening political tensions across oil producing countries. Cannot see a sudden change of trend as the sp follows the rising commodity.

Good rise today. Day before going ex div. I'm sure many private investors have a good cushion now. May have a beer or 3 myself and treat the current Mrs leas to a glass of Blue Nun. :)

Stringman, I am aware of IMM's cash position. I an fully researched with this company having been an investor for many many years. That was not my point. Of course that puts IMM in a strong position going forward and give the company great leverage on the direction it takes. My post to Elegance may come across as negative that I am challenging the points made by him/her but imo it did need clarifying for the benefit of new investors that may want to commit their hard earned cash..

Perhaps if you were a little more researched then the grants awarded for the other platforms is important. Your remark in relation to tons of cash flow is slightly ambiguous and was not the exact words used which prompted my post. You may deem the trial to be a success but unfortunately the CDER don't. There are many positives from the 'test' and that will determine IMM's next course of action in relation to Lupuzor. All good and well trying to put a positive spin on your investment but keep it in perspective. There are many LTH's here that are probably more researched than your good self but don't try to convince them that the trial was a success.

Apologies for change of thread, but your post at 1833hrs states 'tons of cash flow' Could you clarify that remark. I am aware of the previous placing. Do you mean the grants awarded in relation to the nucant and peptide platforms? The 'test' was not a success, the trial did not meet the criteria set by the CDER on behalf of the FDA. Your post does read as though the P3 was a success and that may be misleading to those investors wanting to buy IMM and not fully researched.

No doubt affect the PoO. Can see it rising towards a 100 dollars. No wonder oil rich Russia supported Trump :)

fruitbat, this is my only FTSE investment. Historically demand for oil rises when the dollar is weaker. It makes crude attractive to ALL currencies. I agree, not good for the FTSE but good for me. I don't care what the sp does as long as it does not fall below 440 as the yield boosts my pension. I would argue that it is good for BP too.
