That�ll rattle the government into action... Government action: Allow some hick community a further 2 week extension to say what everyone knows that they don�t want a mine. My conclusion: the government do not give a single sh*t The last 36 hours pretty much sums up the past 5 years...

The government will never give a timeline to anyone. Who�s gonna make them? Not once have they exercised their right as the ultimate arbiters in this process. Quite content to kick the can a bit further down the street and pretending to offer progress by asking for comments. The comments are not required by the process, which should simply judge the contents of the company�s application against their own laws. Now what is so difficult about that? 5 years next month. Bureaucracy rules ok?

Just so fecking bored with all this. I have invested heavily here, twice, losing money the first time. I would love to have a good reason to buy in again. There is no good reason to. This is now so badly damaged as an opportunity, that even if the concession is granted, the SP will react much more modestly. Also, there will be no faith in the next environmental stage of the process, so a fall back is inevitable. The Sami / CAB will play dirty all the way, knowing the government will do nothing.

How long does it take to say no thanks to a mine? Damberg is a joke, as is the whole government. Timetable now is: review all comments April earliest. 2 months before summer break, then hustings for general election commence. So government will start sending out noises very soon saying no chance this year. Too busy, sorry n all that. Until and unless KB invokes the relevant mining / mineral legislation and chucks a law suit at these p*llocks, this will not be resolved. The passing of time is meaningless to the Swedes.

I am sure the content of Kurt's communication to the government will be well drafted and thorough, expressing legally couched expressions of frustration and the word legal being mentioned throughout. I anticipate a number of weeks silence now, followed by requests from the government for more input from various agencies. They will not make a decision.

Ha Ha. Yep, I bought one. Don�t go anywhere in it, just sit in the garage listening to the radio, when It�s finally warmed up.
