They have not even acknowledged receipt of same or said what or when the next stage will be. And it is the government holding all the cards. What is stopping them doing nothing for 12 months and then passing it to the MI. There is more evidence for that than an imminent decision.

Sorry. Utter nonsense. 3 years ago, the application was with the government for a final decision. Expectation on this very board was that the government would reach a decision, and you were full of that expectation. It sat on the application for over 12 months and then passed it to the MI. I don't need to repeat the litany of horsesh*t manoevring which has blighted any progress since then, do I? 3 years have elapsed without a decision and the paperwork IS gathering dust on the government's desk again. Endless requests for comments and comments about comments have told the government nothing they have not known all along. Saying the government will soon make a decision simply because they haven't made one already is laughable. Will you still believe a decision is imminent in another five years just because you and Suzy telleach other they should? Come on Eric. You know there is no sign of any decision. That is all that counts.

There has been no decision. Everything else is just fluff and noise. What commitment is there from the government to make a decision? None. Have the government agreed to a timetable for a decision, requested by the company? No. I would call that zero progress.

Why do you keep passing round this silly phrase? It suggests forward motion. There is zero forward motion with this. The only evidence of any motion at all is circular, in ever decreasing circles.

I know you would prefer to see posts exclusively from those who have a blind attachment to the belief that this will come good, despite five years of relentless evidence that it will not. Just got back from a very enjoyable narrow boat holiday. As I unsubscribed the RNS alert last month, I was unaware of it. Lazy Sunday morning. Thought I�d read it, knowing it wasn�t good news from the continuing slide in the SP. So, to summarise, the RNS says there�s no news or progress to report. Additionally, although the government have had all submissions for weeks, none of which tells them anything new, the government are not able to announce even a timescale!!! To add to the farce, we are now asked not to pester the government in case it upsets them, or distracts them from the task in hand??? Like anyone believes it is in anyone�s pending file. What sorcery is this, which has cast it�s spell so effectively that I�m reading posts from long suffering long termers agreeing that we must continue to sit on our hands and not get involved. FFS. You guys have taken the Stockholm syndrome to a whole new level. FIVE YEARS and no timescale or roadmap for any sort of decision or supplementary delays. I really do despair of the passive acceptance of being royally shafted, week after month after year. Leave you to your perverted pleasure.

Sorry, but I have come to the conclusion, after countless false dawns and 5 years passing with no sign of progress, that this is dead in the water. Just can�t see anything ever changing here. I�m gonna leave you guys to it. It has gone so far beyond boring, I just can�t be bothered with it any more.

Whether or not the Sami�s hand is strong, the facts are, that, 5 years after submitting the application to mine, reindeer are wandering free around the proposed mine site at Kallak. There is little prospect of that changing, so I�d say the government has a clear preference for reindeer husbandry. After all, the government did not reject the ANI award for reindeer herding at Kallak, even though it has no legal validity whatever, and was announced 4 whole years after the ANI status for mineral extraction was announced in the same area. The government could not make their intentions more obvious, but they can�t legally deny the license, so continue to do nothing decisive.
