JRM has more integrity, intellect, foresight, humanity, competence and sanity than any other MP. He is staunch in his beliefs and someone I would be proud to stand beside in tough times. Doesn't court popularity or deal in shrill soundbites. Hard to believe he sits in the same chamber as the likes of Abbott, Soubry, Lammy et al. Head and shoulders above them all.

And once again the "new" government has installed Sami loving green mps in the same spoiling positions of influence heading up the heritage and environment agencies. There will be no decision on Kallak in the foreseeable future, in my opinion. Zero progress avoids conflicts which the swedes have a mortal dread of. Kurt must do his job as CEO and refuse to sit and wait. It is already 4 years overdue.

Unfounded optimism. Just more wishful thinking. Swedish politicians remain mute. Literally nothing has changed.

We have heard all this many times before, Kurt. Until the government minister states agreement with you, clearly and unequivically and grants the license, it is yet more noise. Where are the statements from government representatives attending?

Like the government of which it is a part, it is fearful and toothless in the face of the politically correct greens, the Sami parliament and the CAB. Baylan will be no different. I am incredulous at the continuing wishful thinking and raised expectation of a decision when: 1. Kurt is pursuing a wait and see strategy. 2. There has been years of stony silence from the government and all it's agencies and ministers on any decision. 3. Never has the M.I. or the government stated a timescale for a decision. The Sp is a third of what it was 8 years ago, two years before the application was submitted. Finland has become another millstone with no progress and god help you all with the Kosovo adventure.

And what precisely will Per Ahl do when Baylan has not made a decision after a month?
Per Ahl did nothing for years to apply pressure to Damberg.

If they were panicking and determined to change direction, why are green MPs heading up all the same agencies as before?

The green MPs heading up the environment and culture & heritage agencies, as they did before the election, are not decision makers. They are influencers, and, due to their principles, they are spoilers. In the fear infested Swedish political climate, their spoiling tactics carry enormous weight.
Despite achieving a paltry 4.4% of the vote, they are playing the racial, cultural, heritage cards to the max.
What a sad country.
What must all those who voted for the Sweden democrats ( 17.8% of the vote ) be feeling?

My prediction for that date would be.
1. No decision
2. SP sub 5p
3. Kosovo. Now news
4. Finland. No news
5. Kallak. Stony silence from new government. Surely there will be one by then?
