Thanks for the responses - if it is somebody taking a large stake under the radar then if they were a non-uk registered pharma we are talking 163.4m shares before the threshold is actually crossed (5%) and just over 98m for a UK registered pharma (3%).
Of course, I am sure that there are other ways and means of disguising purchases via a purchasing agent(s) all of whom stay under the radar. Hopefully, we will not be looking at a fait accompli further down the road. Just a thought.

Despite all of the background buying there has not been a single TR1 produced. Either somebody is buying under the radar up to a threshold of 5% (Non uk Company) or, the mms are simply churning shares through manipulation. I have witnessed this behaviour at 0.5p, 0.7p and 0.8p whereby the sp is dropped and large buys appear. First State bought some 60m from memory and then disposed of them at the lower sp also.
Anyone got any thoughts on what might be happening, if anything? Big Easy have you got a view on this?

Very good post Basser. I totally concur. All the signs are there and the background buys are no coincidence. We are living off scraps of information and the great research carried out by board members. It would be good to get a clear sense of direction and timeline once they are able to release information. I personally think Sareum will not be able to carry the burden of development therefore I think that a buyout or a significant tie-up is inevitable.

Unless there is a new presentation yet to be posted on their website, the current presentation showing there makes absolutely no mention of SRA737. I think that was always going to be the case in the absence of a news release of some description.
I find it wholly inconceivable that Sierra have renegotiated their milestone payments without presenting an outline plan at the very least to all interested parties. The silence is deafening, and, with no mention whatsoever of SRA737, my interpretation is that there is a NDA restriction preventing the release of any information at all. Same as the email responses being swatted away with a bland statement of no substance. So we just have to wait.
But with a strong hint that Covid grant funding could be close and a milestone from SRA737 overdue, then the financial situation in Sareum is looking stronger with a raise less likely unless for tangible progress.
We shouldn't be too disheartened, things are definitely looking up.

There could well be some upwards trajectory in the sp next week and the following weeks also as progress begins to unravel here.
There could be speculators getting in ahead of news which we all think is imminent, followed by news itself. Sierra may well release an update on SRA737 ahead of their presentation on Wednesday. Given the time differences this could well be a pm news release. Even without an immediate update, we are close to a development plan being released by Sierra.
I am unsure as to when Covid news will arrive but it should be within the next 8 weeks. The commitment from the UK Government to fast track funding and clinical trials could give us a significant boost provided the potential shown thus far, is realised.
Not many better Companies to be invested in on AIM at the moment. Massive potential.

I think we should all focus on the positive developments here rather than bickering. We remain on the cusp of a great opportunity for the sp and for sufferers alike. What is not to like?

You are clearly not a fan of Sareum Damion so why on earth are you bothering to post at all unless you have an ulterior motive.
What is positive though is that we both obviously think that the sp can be manipulated at will. I think it has been manipulated and held down whereas you think it can be walked up for a placing - same manipulation I presume. Obviously I’m not wrong about manipulation after all.

Prior to that date you did not have to register to read posts, after that date you did. So lots of us registered (including me just afterwards) in order to maintain our interest. Having registered I suspect that a lot of new posters with opinions decided to voice them (myself included) no conspiracy although yes, there have been some who seek to disrupt.

They can't squeeze much more out of us at these levels. They are going to have to take it up soon. News not far away either so this isn't going to drop in the short term.

I may be being over simplistic here, but I do not think there is a need for consolidation whatsoever. Any offer for the company or agreement for a license deal will be measured in £'s as opposed to shares in issue. Our value is what a large Pharma is prepared to pay us - simple as.
If it was a straight buy out then the sum offered would be divided by the number of shares to give us the price per share offered. Obviously, the less shares issued in a company, the higher the price per share would be. Lets face it, we have all benefited from a low sp due to the number of shares issued and a low market value so we could afford to buy more of them. Can't have it both ways although it would be nice.
Consolidation would not alter the market cap. The sp could be 100 times higher but we would only have 100th of our current holdings.
It is what it is and we should focus on the deals adding whatever value the BoD can get

Agreed LeMajor - Almost jumps out at us all. Take the previous presentation to secure funds from VC’s and now this presentation a week later to put us very firmly back in the shop window.

Everything appears to be more positive and we are building up a head of steam. It is all about funding now as we move forwards. As Bridges quite rightly stated it will take a bit of time for the i's to be dotted and the t's to be crossed on any investment deal. The importance of investment is becoming increasingly apparent. To address an earlier comment/question, I, too, think we have been or are in negotiations under NDA. It may also be the case that any offers have not been up to scratch and we have moved on with a show of intent. I'm all for that. Investment backing will provide us flexibility and strength in any other negotiations.
We all believe in the science. Just need to commercialise it.
