Hear! Hear! Brighty. Dr Michael Owen wouldn't put his career and his reputational standing at risk if this was a dud. As I have stated before...NEDs do have a lot to lose if it goes horribly wrong.

Its just like buying a house. You never know who is slowing the process down, sitting on the money ahead of release and the buyers chain has run into difficulties slowing the exchange of contracts etc: we all know the difficulties and frustrations involved. It is all part of a process which we all normally accept as we know it will eventually happen and we'll get it over the line. Likewise with Sareum as all they can do is to ensure that they have their side of the deal completed and in apple pie order. The rest is "part of the due process" - Patience will pay off and it will complete.

That is correct Elcap. To be fair to the mm's they have to make a market. If it was just a one way street with shares just rising, then it would end up with us all selling and the mms holding all of the shares and investors all of the cash. That can't be allowed to happen as the market requires itself to be "orderly". So sp control is the order of the day.

Can't disagree with many views expressed. You pays your money you takes your chance. Simple as, really. I respect any decision to buy or sell especially if profits are taken off the table. Its a judgement call for the individual to make.
AdamsRib, - I understand the point you make but Directors liabilities go much wider than that and Directors can be held legally responsible for a Companys legal and regulatory failings. This is not to mention Pensions, where a Director may be a Trustee etc:
There can also be Breaches of Regulatory Law such as H&S, Employment Law etc: where the Company and Director can be jointly and severally liable.
Directors can also be guilty of fraud or "connivance" whereby financial penalties and Disqualification as a Director can arise. Thankfully, these are not a regular occurrence due mainly to Directors code of conduct. However, they do exist and Insider dealing would bring penalties and maybe a class action by investors.
Hence why small companies can be a minefield for experienced NED's to put their reputations on the line.

Bit of an old chestnut that Aber, Their salaries being taken in shares is a vote of confidence and they are receiving shares instead of cash which is akin to buying. Secondly, all board members including NEDs are personally liable for the companies conduct, mismanagement, and debts etc: Thirdly, they may not be able to purchase due to having insider knowledge. That would be illegal and would carry penalties. A small company such as Sareum comes with risks for the Board, so to have these guys still plugging away on our behalf says a lot to me. I would be concerned if they resigned and walked.

The "fact" I allude to is supported by the stonewall emails received by Azz in the past couple of weeks and no response from Sareum. It would have been very easy after the renegotiated milestones for Sierra to have updated the market or included information within their presentations since. There appears to be nothing else preventing information release especially since they have Gilead on board.
Other researchers here point to SRA737 being better as part of a Combo. This would bring others to the table. IMO There is no way that any negotiations would/could take place without NDA's being in place. There is no guarantee of a successful conclusion so all parties will want to protect their interests should that occur. We still don't know the identity of the Chinese partner who gave back FLT3 as this will be under NDA. NDA's are very commonplace and restrictive as you probably know already. Then it is over to the commercial teams for legal agreements which can take ages. This is where my comment regarding Insider dealing comes in should any Director of any party let anything slip on an unregulated platform during this process. Punishments can be quite severe and careers ruined.
The better news is that we shouldn't have this issue with the Covid news as Sareum control the outcomes and their own news releases. It could come before SRA737 news - who knows?

I can only repeat what I have stated in earlier posts regarding NDA’s. Couple that with rules in relation to insider trading by giving too much away prematurely, then you understand the deafening silence and the fact that the information shackles are firmly on (not in jest)

No problem Gunner - completely understandable and it is healthy to debate all views. I have also been here years and endured the frustrations of stop/start on developments not to mention the sp fluctuations - slow death at times. I feel it is different this time around though and if I am wrong I really wouldn't have the patience to see another patent or development through.

I get your point Gunner but you are also speculating as to a negative outcome. I think you make a decent point regarding the lack of buying activity after the recent presentations but then we were pitching for Venture Capital is my understanding. Time will tell and the truth will out at some point. Meanwhile I have added. Too many good things being reported about the science (as opposed to just Sareum)
