To be fair, i've never tried to vote before. My holdings are all long term and my balances are not insignificant. I may look at changing broker, although all seem to have their shortcomings.

Jools, they will let you vote, but charge £20 for each account you hold them in. Apparently, an admin fee!

Does anyone know how to vote via sharedeal active, without being charged for each account you are voting through?
They want to charge me £60 for the privilege.

Agree Dowley, and i think we will see an appropriate increase in value when the "ifs and buts" that have pushed the s.p skyward, become cast iron events. The latest RNSs' may have improved sentiment for some, but, in my opinion much of the sentiment was already factored in to the current s.p. and the huge resource increase, Rosgeo relationship and Japanese connection is battling against an embattled sentiment in some who were in it for the unreasonably quick sale of the co.
Personally, never been more confident than i am now.

I'm quite liking the "manipulated" share price. Just bought another £40k worth yesterday. Been in for two years, didn't think i'd be topping up anymore, but the recent RNSs' have cemented my confidence about where this is going in the short to medium term.
Not sure why anybody who has invested in the company would be bothered about current s.p, unless they need to get to some cash urgently.

Shocking that Sharedeal Active require £20 per holding account to allow one to cast their vote!

At the risk of being told i shouldn't be investing, i was somewhat suprised when i contacted Sharedeal Active and was told that, if i wanted to vote, there would be a charge of £20 on each account that i hold Eurasia Shares in. Not sure if its the same with HL, but it does impede what should be a wholly democratic process. With three holding accounts, £60 is fairly irrelevant to me, nonetheless it seems wrong.

The process will take as long as is required. No point getting stressed because this time period does not align with personal aspirations.

The company calmed the jitters on the 18th Jan, stating that multiple offers had been received and things were progressing slower than envisaged due to the complexities of resolving such offers. Less than two weeks later confirmation via an RNS of 23 mill shares slowly being sold by an interested party , not the major shareholders, and all done compliantly. Not sure why people are panicking? The company knew about this a couple of weeks ago and the main shareholders have not sold a bean!

Never thought i'd be topping up again, but whilst everyone is jumping on the bandwagon i'm strolling in the opposite direction . Happy days.

Harry, i was destined for Portsmouth, but opted for Oxford Brookes and then on to Reading. After all the work, i couldn't accept £9k as a mud logger back in 1991, so went down a different route for three times the money and more sociable working conditions. If i had my time again i would avoid higher education, especially nowadays, its just become another
money making business where individuals are rewarded with debt and a life of servitude.

Surely if we have holdings that are CGT protected in an ISA account and they are exchanged for non-qualify shares, we would be able to show that the proteced value that had been moved was non-taxable, therefore the tax advantage is portable?

Totally agree that it can be interpreted as potentially bad news. I'll put my hand up to that one. Just for balance, i've also seen it being painted as huge confidence and that great news is about to break. I guess now we are all clear about what these transactions are actually representing, neither conclusion is warranted.
