I know whats there Hunter AnthonyJK was talking about mines as if they were underground and the shafts would collapse. That is how I read it. But thanks for your input in any case.

All the mines are Open cast mines as opposed to underground mines. So like I say a missile strike would actually save FXPO several tonnes of TNT in dislodging the iron ore pellets.

There has been no change to the situation since yesterdays negotiations update and one of the keypoints of those being being the substantial withdrawal and reduction in military might around Kiev and Cheniyiv. Bonus.

Bearing in mind we are talking about mines it's hard to see what the attraction would be in hitting a mine and if they did so then it would probably save us a couple of tons of TNT in any case.

If you look at the concessions and dropped proposals then you can see they are not far off. Normally I would post the working out but will leave you to figure it out for yourself.

POG can you believe it was only 1p a couple of weeks ago (hit 5p this morning) and Poly 122p also only a couple of weeks back. Another RNS off Poly this morning saying business is carrying on as near normal as can be.

From the FT yesterday and prior to the negotiations - a noticeable shift in stance off Russia.
"Russia is no longer requesting Ukraine be “denazified” and is prepared to let Kyiv join the European Union if it remains military non-aligned as part of ongoing ceasefire negotiations, according to four people briefed on the discussions. Moscow and Kyiv are discussing a pause in hostilities as part of a possible deal that would involve Ukraine abandoning its drive for Nato membership in exchange for security guarantees and the prospect to join the EU, the people said under the condition of anonymity because the matter is not yet finalised. The draft ceasefire document does not contain any discussion of three of Russia’s initial core demands — “denazification”, “demilitarisation”, and legal protection for the Russian language in Ukraine — the people added."

The Ukranian side

Neutral status would mean Ukraine would not join any military alliances, such as Nato, or host military bases. Poland, Israel, Turkey and Canada could be among the potential security guarantors for Ukraine.

The proposals would also include a 15-year consultation period on the status of annexed Crimea and would come into force only in the event of a complete ceasefire, Ukraine said.

Its negotiators said there was enough material in the current Ukrainian proposals to warrant a meeting between Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding they were awaiting Russia's response."

Negotiators back to their respective Presidents to discuss further.

Just be aware that 48% of POLY's revenue generating assets are in Khazakstan and outside Russia. The company is giving prior warning that it is in effect looking to "do the splits" On a share price of circa £12.00 prior to the invasion that should equate to about £6.00 for these assets alone.

They may however not need to do anything if peace ensues.

Just to remind you all, and anyone looking in that it is the Boards intention to pay the Poly dividend and the final dividend alone translates to 39p with an Ex-Dividend date of 5th May. Subject of course to shareholder approval.

Negotiators back to their respective Presidents to discuss further.

The Ut moved the closing price up and its hardly surprising given virtually all the trades disclosed after the market closed were higher. Some for quite big amounts.

I predicted a strong finish and a 340p close. About as close as you can get to being on the money. The Uncrossing trade was 339p.

Market makers though I sensed were holding back on some of the trades they had which could have moved the price. Put through afterwards. Fair Analyst these are not retail / PI trades and neither was the volume today of 17.2 million shares (about £55M)

Given that POG has again finished the day stronger and is approaching half it's pre invasion value POLY could just as easily be double where it finished tonight. In fact imho it should be given todays RNS and the potential splitting of its Khazakstan assets which accounted for 48% of 2021 revenues.

I'll go for a blue day tomorrow and us heading to £6.00 in the short term and back to £12.00 with any peace dividend, of which today's talks outcome saw concessions off both sides prior, new ground off both sides today and a potential breakthrough.

Why the fall? I know there were rumours an attempt may have been made to poison Abramovich but hos stake here was transferred prior to sanctions and on good authority I am informed he was present in the room at peace taks in Turkey today.

Can't find a company specific reason hence why I am asking?

Add Eurasia Mining (EUA) + 32.5% and Amur Minerals (AMC) + 30.52% to the below list. So not specifically FOMO generating the rise here imho.

shazabo I think if you look at the number of posts on here it is probably hard to call it as FOMO. Probably more likely MM's restocking their parlour.

It looks like now there are some serious negotiations ongoing and concessions from both sides and any dramatic reduction in any defined areas reduces risks to assets.

Bear in mind also that the Iron ore pellets FXPO produce will be required on a grand scale for reconstruction of infrastructure such as bridges, roads, rail, factories, schools and hospitals once we get to definite peace.

We might see some large after market trades .
