When I say 7 Putin demands - there are two parts to No 6.

There were 7 aspects to Putins demands.
1.No Nato membership or bases in Ukraine
2.No EU membership
3.Demilitarisation of Ukraine
4. De-Nazification of Ukraine
5.Preservation of the Russian Language
6. Recognition of the Donbas and Crimea as Russian territory

Point 1 Zelenski has acknowledged no Nato membership or on Ukranian soil. They can't in any case as it needs an 8 year war free period.
Point 2 has been conceded by Russia yesterday. No objections to EU membership.
Point 3 suggestion yesterday was of partial demilitarisation but backed by Guarantees for Ukranian security by countries such as Turkey, Israel, Canada
Point 4, Dropped prior to yesterdays meeting
Point 5, Dropped prior to yesterdays meeting
Point 6, Willing to consider on Crimea subject to a 15 year consultation - directly linked to a ceasefire.

I'm not quite sure which comics you are reading but all the above have been in the FT and BBC news in the last few days. I'd personally say there has been considerable progress made.

Interesting for once that Mr Biden has kept under his hat what exactly that means. I've been thinking for too long that they are too public with what they are supplying. (Longer range missiles to hit more military targets inside Russia, more anti-ship missiles another) All with the intent of putting further pressure towards a peace deal.

Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskiy could meet “soon”, a senior aide to Ukraine’s president has claimed, even as the Kremlin downplayed hopes of an early breakthrough in the peace talks.

The head of Ukraine’s negotiating team, Mykhailo Podolyak, a key adviser to Zelenskiy, said on Wednesday that Moscow was scrutinising proposals submitted by Kyiv in Istanbul which he believed could lead to a presidential peace summit.

“We can expect a presidential meeting to be held some time soon,” Podolyak said. “When is too early to tell, but it is a logistical issue.”

Thank you for posting sensibly on what the UT is solstace. It is both an accumulated Buy and Sell matched together in a deal done in the 5 minutes after close. Any investor worth their salt knows that and its absolute basics. I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at the chance to buy anything substantial at 3.05p.

v FXPO is down 2% v JRS which is actually Up 6.72%

Neither had this mornings RNS that Poly had.

The share prices are being moved to free up stock. Clear as day here. Todays RNS here easily justifed a further rise (rather than a fall).

Actually Oxygen whats happened is that the market makers tipped the scales to see who they could entice out of their positions. Then you have people trying to find reasons.

I am happy to re-post yesterdays negotiation positions off Russia, Hungary and Turkey's summary. It is still the same today.

And if the Russians hadn't hit a 3G transmitter that they themselves needed for communication then there might have been quicker comms on sunstantially reducing military activity (withdrawing) around Kiev and Chernhyiv.
