Look if Lavrov has seen significant progress then Putin must be thinking the same and must be eyeing up an exit strategy to get him out of the mess he finds himself in.

Yes the small print I get has to be finalised on many of the key points but for me the last remaining point seems to regarding Donbas and Crimea with Ukraine wishing to hold onto sovereignty but offering up a 15 year consultation. It wouldn't imo be that difficult to shape an agreement whereby Ukraine retain sovereignty atm but with say a referendum in 3 to 5 years, and let the people decide.

Would get both sides out of any further death, injury, damage and destruction, or mess that they are presently in and shortly to become worse.

I'll be happy to bank the dividend yield like so many others for the very decent retirement income that it will provide, in what is an inflationary world and cost of living crisis. The capital gains from any peace dividend though will also be most welcome.

It was a bit silly dropping this to 116p when there were already two proposals of 330p and 337.5p on the table and it would have been rude not to take the opportunity. Hopefully a formal bid appears by the 15th and maybe a bit higher still.

2p per share will do nicely. Can always reinvest of the price is much lower or use it to for a decent holiday of it rises well.

Well the Russian and others response to peace talks seems very encouraging indeed and the Russians are withdrawing troops from the Northern part of Ukraine.

Hopefully we get a joint statement, ceasefire or peace deal soon to prevent the tragic loss of military and civilian life that can occur when we seem to be getting close to an end game.

Good or some might say "significant" progress in peace talks.
