Thanks for taking the time and trouble to register Raja88 with the LSE just to find the CINE bulletin board to tell us that. This bulletin board has seen it all before. Normally you last a week or two.

I'd suggest you pop yourself along to your local CINE or cinema this weekend if you have an issue with the numbers. The head of Odeon seems to be pretty definite in what she says.

I'm watching one with online bookings and its near to complete sellout and next week is looking like its heading the same way, and that is without accomodating what are called "walk-ins".

That refers to people who haven't booked online and just turn up in the hope of finding seats. Expect a lot more in that category to turn up this weekend.

You need to also note that restaurants and pub chains are recently reporting back to normal and pre-pandemic levels and these also act as "feeders" to the cinemas because they are generally co-located all around it. Each brings the other custom.

Imho you'd have been better spending your registration time booking some tickets instead else you might end up disappointed.

The cinemas are pulling out all the stops on this one to get and more importantly to re-engage previous visitors and to get repeat custom. Appreciate though that cinemas were already back to 75% to 80% attendances prior to pre-bookings. (I can happily post you the links but it's a bit off topic for today)

AMC said that with Bond they were at 110% (before they sold another 75,000 in 2 days)

Then last night the Bond Franchise publicity machine imho did a spectacular. (Royals, A-listers, glitz and glamour). I'm watching it scroll up about every 15 minutes on GMB as I type this.

You will appreciate that the CINE share price is nowhere near pre-pandemic levels.

Up 15% in 3 days more like, today being the 3rd.

All that hype you refer to (thats everywhere) will generate sales.

Its Bond, pre-sales were rampant and we know from Odeon 40% of pre-bookings are from people who have not been to the cinema in the last year.

You need to give them all about a month to 6 weeks to bag their full Cumulative Audiences and the overlap here is unsurpassed since opening.

Good luck if you hop off but its probably getteing to the time when you should be thinking about looking back in January.

And treat yourself and your other attendees to some popcorn or other treats.

You might find difficulty for the more popular show times if you are planning to walk in and try and get a seat and add a bit of time for the food and beverage queues.

I normally feed an average of 3 through the cinema. This time around through persuasion I have sight over 19 and one was a booking of 12. Still working on a few more family, friends and the neighbours. Shouldn't need too much effort now tbf.

Sit back and chill and wait for the reports to come in over the weekend.

Next week should be good and then its the US release the next week.

I've watched (and screen shot) 4 more sellouts this evening and it's getting close to single seats only for all that is remaining this weekend on the one I'm tracking.

It's made both the 10 O'clock news and GMB and the other breakfast news will have it all over the screens tomorrow

Forgot to say. Just slightly peeved that Everyman ended up 4.4%.

Not far short of the 82p I predicted when the bulletin board got itself in a right panic and tiz earlier today, and I think I counted it tickle it some 7 times.

What though is the most impressive part about today is that from a low point in the 78's the CINE share price has fought itself back to finish blue and a couple of percent to the good.

Then look at the volume. Not far short of yesterday. Porbably about equal when the late reports work their way through. Conclusion - somebody was picking up stock.

Have a good evening watching the Royal Premiere tonight as it should form the basis for tomorrow's headlines.

I think I'll have the evening off as the headlines tonight and tomorrow will create a further buzz and then tomorrow night the first lucky individuals (or insomniacs) get to see the movie after Midnight.

Then we are into the opening weekend and the numbers get to speak for themselves.
