marc001 - agree completely. I suspect that many of the sells today are from punters hoping to turn a buck after buying in before the anticipated RNS. No criticism intended, but that's AIM for you. To paraphrase an old adage: no RNS is ever as good or as bad as you first thought.

BBN - thanks for the Twitter summary but what data led you to believe that production could hit 4,650 mtV? There was a 16% increase from Q3 to Q4 which is not too shabby under the circumstances. I have mentioned before that expectation may be better managed by showing production figures more frequently.

Agree with Pdub summary. A clear, straightforward RNS of production achievements and constraints (I.49 % short of revised target is good enough for me). Plenty of product en route to the most lucrative market and Belco on track. What's not to like? If any of this surprises you haven't been paying attention.
And some sage advice to HMHG: if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

Not so. The blues and reds today have reflected the spread and small SP movements fairly accurately. They got mine right anyway. Wish I could show you a screen shot. And after all, a Buy/Sell ratio of 2:1 leaves a lot of rroom for error. I see price movments on other miners with far less volume. However, this debate is a bit of an old chestnut that doesn't lead anywhere, so either believe the data or don't, it's OK. Signing off.

cinders: Apart from sarcasm being the lowest form of wit, you will see that the Sell:Buy ratio today is over 2:1 and the overall volume is not insignificant. For any of my other holdings this would have sent the SP up by several points today.

On the basis of trading today you have to wonder how long the MMs can supress this SP.

Contrary views with supporting facts are always welcome, but if you are just going to **** off the company and regular posters with snappy one liners then nobody will take you seriously. Beginerman - I am particularly sceptical about altruistic defence of potential investors. The vast majority are savvy enough to make up their own minds, and with the unusual weight of traffic on the BMN board, with arguments for and against, there is plenty of added value. But this does not replace in-depth research. What irritates me intensely is the casual sniping and insults directed at a company that I am invested in, because the collective weight of this trash traffic probably affects sentiment to some degree. None of us investors like the SP as it is today - it would be disengeuous to pretend otherwise - but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the company strategy is flawed or the company is badly managed. If there is a common ground, I suggest, it is the poor communication from the company, and this is possibly an area where we can lobby.

Tropical: not a particularly good analogy from you there. Scientific debate on the validity of a theory is a welcome and progressive feature of our culture. There is nothing factual or debatable about your post, it is just an opinion. I think you are also getting emotion confused with sentiment which is a recognised feature of stock markets. PDub has the credibilty of research and experience, and the great majority of his posts are factual and verifiable. Unless he is deliberately provoked. Not sure what your agenda is on this board, and I haven’t bothered to look up your other 5 posts on lse. Give us a clue please e.g. do you actually hold BMN stock?
