Coffeecups, your cognitive bias is perfectly understandable and quite normal when you no longer have skin in the game. In my own company I was often guilty of arguing that new ideas will never work because of what happened in the past. I was usually wrong because the dynamics change. I keep it simple now: the catch phrase (with apologies to lying Bill) is
'It's Vanadium, stupid'.

Interesting paragraph about Grosvenor: seems to be corporate speak for `we swallowed a line of BS from you, you let us down, and if you want to come back in it will be on our terms'. Re frequent references to `balance' - what a crock. A balanced argument requires both parties to present an argument. I do not see any arguments or facts presented by our resident trolls, just snipes and jibes, most of which seem to be directed at Pdub. Maybe Pdub can be a bit sarcastic in some of his responses, but when one is personally targeted in such a crude and clumsy manner on such a frequent basis, I think we can cut him some slack. Pdub, HarChris and others are providing the sort of factual information which would make this one of the most informative fora on lse, were it not for the heckling and baiting from the stands. So what I am saying is, If you disagree with the positive views, come up with a grown up counter view based on some effing fact. More than 3 lines of joined up English would be a good start. And `sack the CEO because the SP is down' doesn't count.

You are right folks. I hadn't noted that the previous share holding was blank i.e. the same, and assumed that the Chinese outfits were reacting to to the Taiwan deal. All good then. Seems like a disproportionate impact on the SP.

Presumably this is collateral damage from the Taiwan deal? If so it would have been anticipated and taken into account.

TA et al: I don't get this unhealthy obsession with the CEO. He is a a strategist and decision taker, and so far his strategy of vertical integration has been successful. What do you think would change if he were to resign or be replaced tomorrow? Are you looking for some sort of manager 'bounce' as per Premier League, or maybe somebody who just continues on the same successful path but delivers upbeat messages that are going to raise the SP somehow? I am invested with several miners and I have to tell you that everybody is suffering at the moment. Seen Glencore lately? Seen Largo? It's not just about BMN and it's not just about you. Get your blinkers off. The negativity on this board probably has some effect on the SP - nobody knows what. Maybe in Troll School there is a module on CEO bashing.

Thanks Ben, some great advice in there. As a LTI the one I liked most was to use time and behaviour to your advantage. If you are up against time imperatives the whole game is so much more stressful.

And while we are on this topic, the politically cynical collective response of the Government today, in wheeling out every Tory with a Jewish connection to diss Gary Lineker for his Twitter comment, is symptomatic of their aggressive and intolerant response to every perceived criticism of their unconscionable policies on immigration, riding roughshod over received human rights principles in Europe. Hopefully, in tomorrow’s thinking press, we will be reminded that in the early 30’s every Tory and upper class twit in England thought that Adolf was doing a great job. Which is what I think Gary was implying.
