Dividend confirmed, 5.8p for 2023. First instalment of 1.45 XD 12 Jan, payable 31st Jan. Still not a bad yield for an asset class of this nature, but clearly disappointing after last year's exceptional 8.8p.

Ah well, you can't win 'em all.
My investment here has now been written off. Can't believe they're spending more of our money despite keeping investors in the dark about the deterioration in trading & consequent loss.

Wow, thanks gixer. Impressive as always. Let's hope By-Health will be better at converting the opportunity into revenue (and profit) than DSM has been.

Good luck to you too saintly. Personally I don't think there's a cat in hell's chance of a decent rise here but you never know how things are going to work out, so who knows? Perhaps someone will come in with a takeover offer at or close to the NAV?? Sooner or later the value has to come out.

Thanks gixer, I can't help having a moan every 3 or 4 years because this share has been #1 on the list of frustrating holds over the years for me. Nevertheless there are people on here who can see no wrong, regardless of the fact that after all this time the turnover is still less than that of an average corner shop. Anyway, another year, another blank, better luck next year - or the year after, or the year after that, perhaps...?

The existing deal with DSM has delivered zero benefit to shareholders (share price lower now than it was, no dividend payments, ongoing cash calls...)
How long are you predicting it will take for us to see any benefit from the new patent application?
Are you saying DSM sales will increase in the next 6 months? 12 months? I'm going to predict they will fall, significantly, again. Let's see.
In the mean time, I see real opportunities in the tie-in with By Health which I'm sure everyone invested here hopes will rescue us from tediously waiting for "the day".

If so, how??? I've read the RNS thank you, & I don't like what it says about the revenues generated from the DSM alliance. And I think it CLEARLY shows they've given up the ghost. Ignore it if you wish (you've ignored every other bit of bad news for the last 11 years, and there's been plenty...) but the RNS has stated the FACTS.

??? I said DSM look to have given up, not me! The sp hasn't dropped because the market is relieved there's no cash call. Like many on here I'd love to get out but after nearly 11 years I'm currently sitting on a loss. My average is 0.94, I'm looking for 3.5p to offload some & leave the rest as a free carry. I suspect that might take another 11 years though, if I can last that long.

Revenue down 15%, rest is usual copy & paste "multiples of existing blah blah". Looking more & more like DSM have given it up as a bad job, it's all about By Health now.

Based on the company's declared target dividend of 6% of NAV, it looks like the yield will drop to c. 5.7% (latest NAV 96.26 x 6% = 5.78p - down from 8.8p this year). All tbc by EAT of course, & adjusted for NAV at 31/12/22.

VSL has announced this morning that it is proposing winding down. Wish it had been RLE instead.

This might be great for a couple of institutions looking to recover some of their losses before year-end but it's a sad day for the (forgotten) small investor. This was looking like one of the safest 10% divi payers on the market. I suspect there may be others looking at the same option.

GRIND still being traded on Nasdaq & JSE but who would want to buy the shares knowing it could be delisted at any point?

Edward Bonham-Carter was featured in a full-page article in the Sunday Times Business section a couple of weeks ago. Interesting character. Sounds like his role at JUP had been reducing significantly recently. However, a big chunk of his personal wealth is still invested here, and he sounded very positive about future prospects. Gosh I hope things aren't quite as bleak as that Mike. They did say they would use cash in the business and their portion of the special dividend, as well as additional borrowing, to fund the deal, so I hope the debt burden won't be too high.
If you're right, this will have been a much better deal for GRIND shareholders than TMIP.

Offer closed with c. 83% acceptances. Not sure what happens now - do TMIP only have to pay the 83% acceptors? Have the rest basically lost their investment? Wording seems pretty final.
