As predicted, price went up this morning (c. 742) then dropped this pm to the current level (c. 720). You'd have to trade a fair number to make it worthwhile but has been a recurring pattern most days for some time now. Only for the brave though, definitely not for me.

ISA's are only exempt from UK tax, not taxes applied overseas on foreign shares. Still holding mine in an ISA though as a defence from CGT.

Oyterman the dividend announcement always says a currency election form is required, so if it's worked ok in the past it means your broker knows you want to receive dividends in sterling. As LochinvarLass says, you could check with them to make sure if you need reassurance. I'm with HL and they've always credited dividends in £ sterling without having to send a currency election form to Computershare.

Dr.Zed absolutely it's a nice problem to have, and believe me I very much appreciate the position I find myself in right now. This share has already been life-changing for me & my family, at a time when my wife has had to retire due to ongoing ill health, but I'm not quite ready for the ride to end just yet. I guess if I told you what my position in here was you'd wonder what the hell I'm anxious about. Think this probably says more about my personal risk-aversion than SAR's prospects.

Hope it's not the precursor to a full bid for the company though, it's so cheap in real terms and prospects so good going forward that it could be on the cards.

Lazarus, very interesting that you pick up on the "take away the angst of decision making during a rising shareprice" aspect here. Given all the hurdles that SAR has now crossed, I actually think this has become my number one concern - after all these years, how the hell are we supposed to judge when is the right time to maximise the return on our investments? Picking up on Potnak's unicorn theme, the ideal scenario for me would be two or more major pharma's competing to take us over with the decision going to sealed bids or equivalent. I actually thought I was the only one grappling with this so it's reassuring to find I'm not alone. K

All I do is read the information provided by the company. There's plenty of it, and since the merger it's not so easy to understand, and I suspect some people are put off investing here for that reason. I won't be doing your research for you though, sorry.

Good luck with that LOTM. If you're serious, my suggestion would be to consider buying during the afternoon (always seems to drop) and sell in the morning (often rises). Keep us posted with your progress.

As you say Sam, the UK markets (not just AIM, the main markets too) can be really confusing. Time after time the market marks down shares following good/very good company news. This inevitably leads to companies being undervalued at which point private equity and/or overseas organisations step in and take them out. It's like there's no confidence in companies simply because they are listed in the UK. This is particularly true in tech/biotech and is driving British companies of all sizes to seek overseas listings. Sorry, you might be able to tell, this is a bit of a hobbyhorse for me, I could be here all day banging on about it - so frustrating!! Still, I've learned that time and timing can usually foil even the most negative of market makers, so I'm not going anywhere.

Hmm, you don't really understand what they do but you've added to your investment. Are you aware that the dividend has been waived for 2022 & 2023 by the previous Pollen Street shareholders as part of the merger deal with Honeycomb? So for 2024 the annual pay-out is expected drop from (effectively) 64p to 51p? Still a pretty good return on your investment, on the face of it, but how can you assess the risks going forward if you don't understand what they do?

Good for you, looks like you're trading yourself into a good position here barchid. Hope it continues to work out well for you. I've got a very small position here which is well down, think I'm going to wait a bit longer now & see if I can pick some more up really cheaply (accepting there's a risk I'll miss out altogether).

Another consolidation likely here soon, about 0.10 on the ask could be the trigger here. 1/40 perhaps, or 1/100? Not dilutive of itself, but always the precursor to a significant drop in preparation for the next consolidation.

Now trading sub-20 barchid, not sure I'd be tempted just yet though. Seems like it may have further to fall.

Interesting thread, thanks guys for sharing your thoughts. I don't really have anything to add, other than agreeing that the situation in China could threaten the wellbeing of this company. And the whole world, for that matter.
Re Proactive Investor, I've been on there a couple of times and found it useful. I've recently signed up to the Investor Meet Company service, first meeting is today (AEWU) so I'll feed back. I do think Ed is very good at this kind of stakeholder engagement though, so any opportunity for him to spread the word would be welcomed by me.
