SD235, I don't think there are any benefits to dropping IT status - quite the opposite. I'm not sure they would continue to meet the criteria anyway, because of the Pollen Street side of the business. I think IT status was a legacy of the Honeycomb merger (Honeycomb was an IT).

Also: "As part of the terms of the Combination, former Pollen Street Capital Holdings Limited shareholders waived dividends paid to them in 2022 and 2023 with respect to around 50 per cent of the shares issued to them by the Group. As such, the dividend targets correspond to a dividend per share of 16p for each quarter for 2023 and at least 25.5p for each half year for 2024." So that means dividends of 64p for 2023 but only 51p for 2024, despite a bigger total payout.

Inexplicably, Berenberg has dropped its target to 760p this morning. However, it has maintained a 'Buy' rating.

Profit down hence (I assume) the SP drop this morning. Also planning to change status from an Investment Trust to a Ltd Company, apparently to come in line with its peers. 64p dividend for the year though, looks pretty resilient & with the SP now back at 540 that represents a yield of close to 12%. That's a risk/reward ratio that I think might be difficult to beat currently...?

The Group has an unblemished 25-year history of profit increases. I expect 2022 will have continued that trend. Despite the heads-up re the possibility of a small reduction in 2023 profits, I fully expect BLV to pull out all the stops to grow profits again this year too. Management do an excellent job here and I see no reason to think that's going to change any time soon.

Excellent update despite one-off costs related to admission to the premium segment of the main LSE market. Performance of the hydroelectric portfolio looks particularly impressive during the period. Will try to remember in future that heavy rain is good news for TENT as well as my garden.

Yep, 3.61p this quarter. Even allowing for 15% wht that's a chunk of a dividend. Keep adding at these crazy prices (IMHO etc etc).

That seems to be exactly what's happening atrm2. I can't see why the Group, or its customers, would be impacted by the SVB situation, beyond the general fallout everyone is experiencing. If I had funds available I'd be adding.

I guess people will say this has been a big fuss about nothing, but for me it's actually been quite helpful. I've had to revisit the reasons for my original investment, which are all still sound, and if anything this has reinforced my belief in TENT as a safe, solid dividend payer. I'll be holding and adding when possible.

fyi, SOHO went XD on 10th March last year, so 6 days later this year.

Yes, let's not talk the price down to the point where it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy:
- The dividend information IS price sensitive, and therefore they can't disclose it ahead of publication.
- TENT is NOT a REIT, so the link to SOHO is tenuous (Triple Point is the manager).
- IF payment(s) have been missed, that's price-sensitive information too and should have been notified by RNS.
- IF payment(s) have been missed, they should be agreeing a turnaround plan or sending in the bailiffs.

I've just re-read the half-year report. I can't think of a single reason why there could be an issue here, in fact just the opposite - TENT should be in the sweet-spot right now. However, it's concerning that they're not communicating. 30% discount to NAV too (12-month average 15%). Hopefully they'll declare a dividend this week and everything starts going back to normal. It's only a few days after last year's declaration after all.

I've challenged him several times, across the different hb boards, to name a housebuilder that has borrowed money to buy land. He hasn't responded because, of course, there aren't any - they're all buying land with cash in hand.

I don't know (or care) what his motivation is, but I'll keep calling out his lies in the hope that everyone will see through him. K

What credit? This builder has bought land from it's considerable cash at hand. As far as I'm aware, all the other major builders have too - can you name a builder that's borrowed money to buy land?
