Missed the fundraising window but added this morning. XD next Thursday so might see a small rise in the run-up.

Quiz question for any market historians out there.

Has any share valued at c. £8 ever paid a dividend of c. £8? If so, what was the company & when did it happen? It's a rhetorical question, no replies necessary.

The December reporting month was impacted by derailment & strikes (as they also reported, but you omitted to say), both of which have been resolved. Things would have been back to "normal" (for SA) in the New Year. Stop scare-mongering, you'll get your entry price soon enough without resorting to that.

Yes I'm talking about a discount to the market price, as all the other fundraising here has been at a discounted (to the current sp) and I see no reason that the next one will be any different. Since the burn rate has suddenly increased quite dramatically, I'm inclined to hold fire for the next cash call. My average here is 87.1p and I certainly don't want it to increase to over £1 so that seems like another reason to hold fire during the current down phase. However, with the current discount to the NAV (as you say), I believe this could soon turn around and be back to 110 - 120 range, so it's a risk.

Thanks for the analysis & comments Agricore, that's really helpful. The fly in the ointment for me is the "fair value" adjustment, and whether it can be sustainable at those kind of levels. Still, looks a good investment case now the dividend is (almost) covered.

It's all bloody guesswork, how many times!! I thought I'd been quite generous with the 15 years of stock but never mind. Can we settle on 10-12 years, because it's a piddling little amount added on whatever the split?

Dr_H - the market has interpreted the new arrangement with DSM and decided that the fair range for the share is now 0.8 - 1.0p. Which is up from 0.6 - 0.8. For what it's worth (see previous), I think that's about right. If it's better than that, whoopeedoo, we can all celebrate. Until that time, after 11 years of disappointments as a shareholder, you'll have to excuse me for not getting overly excited.

Oh I comprende all right mon amis, I'm just not naïve enough to think that this new arrangement is going to suddenly translate into £millions of sales or profits. The reality is, as has been said on here many times before, we don't know what the original contractual arrangements were with DSM, so anything posted on here is speculative at best. And that includes the stuff I write.

And, since we're speculating, would YOU like to guess what the sales will be at the full year this year? And profit/loss?? Because it IS only guesswork, until confirmed.

gixer - when is a profit not a profit? I'm invested in PXS, not DSM. PXS has NEVER made a profit. So you can talk about "profit share" all you like, the company is loss-making. How anybody thinks that's going to be different in the post-DSM world, without a significant increase in volume, is beyond me. Yes it'll be cheaper to produce but not cheap enough to cover the overhead, particularly the R&D element. Happy to be proved wrong of course, I'm all-in here as a LTH so any kind of good news will be gratefully received at Kamp Krusty!

Dr_Horrible - how much of the Eu6m worth of stock will have expired by the time PXS sell it? At the current run-rate that's enough stock for 15 years, give or take... or are you saying they're going to "square that away" by booking it all as sales in Year 1??

The "significant multiple" repeated theme is in the context of the potential Chinese market, not related to the DSM agreement, so we'll see no huge jump in profit this year.

Turnover is tiny here (£179k half-year to 30/9) leading to significant losses again (£157,634 half-year to 30/9). The only thing that will move us away from this situation is volume, plain & simple. Some on here still believe that volume will come from the DSM alliance - I don't. In my view the only thing that can take us to the next level (break-even) and beyond (significant profits) is the By-Health connection. The sooner we get some positive news on that front the better.

All the others have been at a discount, why would this one be any different? If anything, it'll be harder to get away this time because the appetite for this kind of fundraising has reduced. Still think this is a very well run IT though with plenty to look forward to.

Hopefully we've not heard anything because they've changed their minds.

Hmm, on the other hand, I might hang on for a while. That £195 million in the bank (Dec '22) has become £78 million (17 Feb '23) with 9 more projects in the pipeline. I might wait for the next discounted raise.

I'd take that DGR1980. It really depends on the amount of customer activity over the next few weeks - if enquiries/sales start to pick up again, I think there's a very good chance of a dividend around that level. If not, expect something closer to 3.0 - 3.5p IMHO. I accept this is way less than most on here are expecting.

Sorry Scandi, just type in HOME in the search box above and have a look at Home REIT. The share was suspended last month after they were only able to collect about 20% of the rents due in December. They are also investigating potential wrongdoing (which usually means suspected fraud). Very different to the investment here, but sometimes mud can stick and give other REIT's a bad name. In the mean time, back into the 30's here which is good news. There was a big sell reported this morning so hopefully now that's cleared we can make some progress on bridging the gap to the NAV.

lalloo, if you're anxious about your investment, another option would be to sell half at 45.0 pence (to get your original investment back) then leave the rest free-running. I've been fortunate enough to do that with a couple of my investments, certainly reduces the stress! Each to their own of course, we all have different circumstances. K

Still adding at this level in the hope that it has plenty of growing still to do. I tend to run my winners and close my losers, so no thoughts about selling.
