I don't know why there's so much vitriol on this site towards Kever. The guy has an opinion and he's backed it with his own money. It's not my opinion, and it's probably not yours, but he's entitled to it and hasn't wavered from it. He's a blatant ramper but they're everywhere on these pages and very few get this kind of abuse. Solid results, better overall than I expected given the macroeconomic environment and in comparison to others. Really surprised the dividend has held up but also very happy. Sentiment has clearly moved towards housebuilders as these numbers would normally have foreseen a sell-off but the market likes what it sees now, 12-month highs being recorded this morning. Onwards and upwards!

Laz, it was indeed a throwaway comment but borne of frustration that the current sp is barely 1/3 of the "lowball" £1 and can only serve to encourage those who might look towards SAR as an interesting addition to their portfolio available for a song.

It's not up to Sareum to sell, we own the company. They would hopefully turn down any lowball offer (single figure £'s) but ultimately it's up to the shareholders to decide whether the company is sold. This has always been my number one concern, shareholders battered by years of low valuation give in to a lowball offer, forgetting what the company could actually be worth.

If an acquisition happens now it'll be at a fraction of the potential value of SAR. Let the scientists do their work, wait for the golden eggs to be laid, then think about selling the company. Unless you're happy with £1 of course...?

C. 4.5p for me. I expect the NAV to be lower based on April trading update (lower completions, smaller order book, reduced landbank, lower average selling price, higher build costs). Anything above that would be very positive from my perspective.
