Moderna have just announced 'promising results ' on a MRNA cancer vaccine. the share price is currently 24% up. That is an increase of their capitalisation of $15bn. That is good news for us on several fronts. Cancer vaccines are in vogue. The increase in market cap solely on that announcement focuses the mind somewhat on what some of us saying and may just not be as fanciful and crazy as it sounds. Hold on tight everyone if RNS says what we hope.
the company is looking to licence the products not sell the company. so don't understand your point
Ripley, I have been buying for 9 years, have over 500,000 and happy with that. I don't generally trade shares and mainly invested in buy to let so is outside what i normally do. You may think we are all a little odd as many of our relationships go back a long way often meeting at AGMs. My view is taking a positive view that Lindy is right because of how that will be life changing for millions of people round the world and their friends and families. There are many personal stories on here which is I suppose why some of us don't treat this share in the normal cold hearted way of normal trading. If we are wrong we may lose a lot of money but at least we tried to support a small british bio and a brilliant professor who is really trying to solve and hopefully on the way to solving one of the greatest challenges and puzzles known to mankind, namely cancer. It is this different thinking that causes so much conflict on here. If you are genuinely just getting going here, enjoy the journey and welcome.
OM, what Ripley does not understand is the palpable excitement that Lindy just might have found the solution to beat cancer and we are invested in it. Many have been here for quite a few years and obviously being 75% down at times was a little scary as well as being continuously asked for more money in fundraisers. So something made us stick around which was probably an unshakable belief in Lindy which it was for me having met her several times at Oxford VCT AGMs. Look at what has happened to oil and gold for example over centuries and the excitement this generates when there is a new discovery. I have always known about for example's Juno's valuation and then eventually what it was sold for and worked out what my 500,000 shares could be worth if I was right. So after a long journey as of today i am over 40% up and not looking to sell one share for quite a while. He might be correct that this is the only share i manage myself as the rest, ie my SIPP are managed by a company as I am not very good at calling the ups and downs of shares, especially in AIM, but this is different to general investing as it is for many on here. What he should ask himself is why so many on here have held their shares for such a long time despite all the darker times we have been through.
Ripley it will though. We are talking about the journey of melting tumours and solving cancer never mind everything else going on. its a pretty big deal
reading that article was like reading a 'ghost from christmas past' when vaccines were not in vogue, cash was tight and moditope was still a dream and everyone was laughing at us when Knowelsi, Aimbig and others couldn't help the digging.. The bit that really got me was the fact he implied we had licensed all our technology. Some have been kind this morning but the article was pathetic
on such negligible volume i don't think i will lose any sleep as frustrated as get with drops on such small volumes.
Obviously excited about moditope but other things are exciting too! Covidity is definitely still in play with long term solution needed and that will be truly mass market. Wonder if partner already lined up when results come out in January.
SC1BI also really interesting. As mentioned before my dad had melanoma and although resected there was fears it had spread. So plan B was all lined up (the combo trial) if scan came back with bad news. Fortunately he was given all clear so wasn't required . so reassuring knowing there was a solution where previously there would not have been, especially knowing the results of the original trial.
And obviously there is the recent commercial deal and how those further deals will play out.
ten percenters having their moment.
28.50. this rerate is beyond my experience was not around in 2012
so what does this morning hold. The news was only available for the last 70 minutes of trade yesterday. incredible how many caught on.
That sounds eminently sensible. I asked earlier
what the threshold was for an RNS needing to be published Only reason I brought it up.
So tomorrow could be crazy. RNS is a difficult one. Would imagine Lindy would prefer a proper report on more than one trialist. This is what a pr company is for. Managing the publicity not creating it
How much of that in last 70 minutes
And in January we will announce we have sorted Covid!
What are the rules regarding issuing an RNS due to the sudden increase in share price Of course if there is one it would go up further.
all the kate bingham interview tells me is Covidity from what we know Lindy wants it to achieve has legs.
nice to see yesterday's losses gained back in first 10 minutes of trade. bodes well
amazing how egos cause a fight from nothing on here. anyway bid moving up again. so all looking good. the higher the base at which the news comes the better for all
it was and has now gone up to 24.8. all beyond me to read it
ok i understand
