£8 is a market cap of £6.5bn well below peers such as Biontech and Moderna who we are competing with in this space.Obviously £8 a share makes me very wealthy and moditope does what Lindy expects it to of course that is not a pie in the sky figure. Isn't that the bet?
chester I completely agree. the ichor options and their cashing in of them was not factored in by most of us, certainly not by me! Anyway with several trials now live plus an active licensing deal with genmab lots of updates to come and gone are the days of awaiting when the trials would actually start. the trials take as long as they do, but as long as we hear of any deaths trying to stay as patient as possible.
agreed. the only thing that matters is that the trials keep delivering, tumours stabilise, shrink and then in enough are melted. that happens and nature will take its course with the SP. everything else is noise.
Ivy, what do you expect the SP to climb to with the 'solid news'
i was just answering the point why lindy has not said more, PR etc. She says it in TF's excellent summary. I get just as frustrated with ST traders wanting a quick win/buck rather than focusing on the bigger picture of melting tumours without toxicity as they do with us rampers.
if we get results over a larger sample Lindy will be singing it from the rooftops. It won't take that long for that to come to fruition. the main thing is that it works and live trials are needed for that which we are doing. too early at the moment for that concise clear message. But regular updates, say every 4/8 weeks or so will build momentum and excitement. this will happen and SP will pop.
Oxford VCT cashed in some recently because they had to for their balance sheet and to keep fund liquid.
there will always be situations where people/companies sell because they need the cash and not because of the fundamentals and this look like one of them. But the fundamentals have not changed. A directors buy wouldn't do any harm!
am i right in saying that early results in a cancer trial have never been achieved before and without toxicity like Keytruda's and traditional chemo. So based on Chester's point below the results should only get better as the sample size increases and moditope has longer to do its work. and if it works like this on the hardest to treat cases that bodes rather well for cancer not as far down the line as our present trial. Please correct me if I am wrong on my layman's non scientific explanation.
May I suggest that it may be a deliberate strategy to delay a major mainstream news release for a few months when we have further concrete results. A headline extrapolating what it means for the battle for fighting cancer would create waves beyond comprehension and a resulting effect on the SP. Given the strict rules on the due diligence required by the journalist to break such a massive life changing story has to be solid. Of course we have no idea how much data would be required and of course it could be at any time but if things continue in the current direction it will be in the next few months at the latest . People can die very quickly from these cancers (my aunty was 6 months without chemo) and if this is no longer the case that is a big story.
Patience everyone. this will pop but we dont know when and that is the frustration for traders and long-term holders alike.
Matt I wouldn't quite say that. Good news drives good pr naturally . its that way round. So early in the trial we must be careful what we say. Which is why I said consistently good results, ie life extension, disease stabilisation/reduction, no side effects will eventually speak for itself.
wtp, my logic is that the higher the SP, the better the negotiating position. everything goes hand in hand. depends on what the bod strategy is to monetise this.
if we get news say every 8 weeks over the progress of the trial and if all goes well, the news will get better and better each time, as results solidify, the SP will eventually take care of itself quite quickly. The MSM coverage will come naturally as the miracle of what Lindy and the team is achieving will eventually sink in. I genuinely believe it would take a mainstream news article to take this to a whole new level. That will happen in the next few months naturally Good PR comes from the outside. We will probably get some momentum from small mentions in Dow Jones and Mail because we did last time.
the bit i dont get is trials or even just theories with much lesser results have been splashed all over the media. We are only 5 hours in so plenty of time but that is what it will make the SP pop very quickly. I would assume we will now get regular updates so a new opportunity assuming everything is positive each time that happens.
was thinking same thing. not quite same reaction as 2012 even those these results are real
To back up my point
'The 36-month overall survival is 43.7% for Keytruda compared to 24.9% for chemotherapy. this is from google and this will include figures from cancers caught at an earlier stage. From what i understand our tria; are all late stage cancers in difficult to treat cases where the survival figures are much lower
this is very very encouraging. I really hope the market understand how massive this is and how big the opportunity is in light of how big Keytruda is.
what seems missing from the conversation is that we technically have a partner in innovate which is the government organisation which funded the trial. Obviously not privy to any terms and conditions of the deal but i would assume that Scancell would have to report back on the results and there would be still be government involvement. This is a different product due to the political sensivitiity around covid. for example it was reported today that Queen Consort Camilla recently had Covid so its not going away in the eyes of the media. We know there is a general desire to find something which attacks the T Cells which this does. . Our new chairman ticks another box which we didn't before. It would be quite a feather in the cap for our government politically to have funded the trial that killed the T Cells and the craving for a universal vaccine. We have no idea what is going on behind the scenes though it is a shame that the MSM have not grasped or understood what we have done so far. I genuinely don't think this one is over
the 99% refers to hospitalisation and death. From what i read this morning the figures for not catching it at all were far better. So you should not be disappointed as you are not comparing like with like.
if the rns said we had done a deal we would go up 2 to 5 times. so can i suggest this is good news. the deal is life changing news.
crumbs, thank you..good answer!
