My only point would be - name a small cap/AIM share without a wide spread? There's not many - and that's the MM's fault not the company (btw only a handful of companies get tipped per week)

Talk of this Friday the 16th being key although very unlikely decision will be made on the same day - obvious though that some are getting in ahead of news (good or bad)

Cheers for confirming that this news will move share price - rather be in now than out. However people can post at any time and it is quite quiet here compared to some threads

BTW I repeat - what moves a share price is buying or selling volume and RNSs. Of course a blog might make someone decide to buy/sell and hence effect the share price but not sure I would buy/sell on the words of TW or anyone else - should just be one part of research and sometimes (if like me you have traded for 30 years) you just feel a share is oversold/cheap/or has recovery potential/news due - like here imho. Time will tell if I have called this right or wrong but even a 2p increase will be 25% from here.

The company makes reasonable GROSS profits but a loss after operating expenses/debt interest - however it would not take too much of an increase in revenue/margins to breakeven - obviously does not mean it will happen. As for your question on debt - I reckon probably half of all AIM companies (and FTSE) have debt - have repayment debts - are loss making so MIN is not exceptional. IMHO there are far worse companies listed - at least there is a business here and for the life of me I cannot fathom your interest here if all you see is negatives. So come on - which shares are you invested in or would recommend. If you do have a reason for being here then buy some shares and ask these questions directly to the directors at the next AGM as you cannot expect those not working in the business to have all the answers. Do you?

Thankfully 99% of all posts on any share will not effect the share price - as it is only actual trades and RNSs issued by companies that tend to move share prices. Of course if a share is pumped or targeted (like MOS and CTAG at the moment - tbh perhaps with good reasons) and at the top of a BB chat list - then more will look in and some will buy even without research. As for MIN - I reckon if the court allows the development we will see targeted ramping here so best to have an exit and buy price and to stick to it. Contra posts from jhopkins are needed here as all sides must be considered although personally I could never spend too much time posting on any share I do not hold - unless I held previously or had an interest in the sector... If you think a sharp adjustment in the euro currency did not effect Minoan and probably quite a few other companies - then you are not as clever as you think... so you called it right and it dropped the next day - did you have inside info because few people cannot call a share price right without strong connections .. in .. the .. sector...

Lets be clear - if you are a shareholder, you do not often knock your investment(s) - you give reasons why you are invested and why you may stay invested. I read positives and negatives in the latest RNS. 1) Brexit is not an excuse - was there a 10% plus change in various currencies after the vote? Yes or No? 2) 40% drop in tourism in Turkey - could any company escape this effect if they travel there? Yes or No? 3) Forward bookings for 2017 are up but current profits hit by £100,000 per month. 4) As for Greece - lets wait and see what the court decides - if it goes ahead then lets worry about funding. I can't see much upside in the share price over the next few months but nor do I see a valid reason for a further drop to 5p unless there is another profits warning. However let current shareholders worry about it - not sure why you are so concerned!

I think some - me included - just wonder why some posters only post on shares they do not hold constantly. Of course we need to hear both sides of the argument but do some post to either get a lower entry price or because they might invest if they see potential turnaround? Btw before anyone posts - I was accused of trying to get a lower entry price on MOS today just because - like some here - I am not yet getting over excited by the news there. So to be fair different shares can equal different views

Also MIN may be the first of many companies to issue Brexit/currency movement profit warnings - we will know over the next month or two. Btw it's one thing to say a share price is too high and another thing to say the company itself is dire... I am sure it may eventually get taken over if business does not improve.

BTW you did call it right - and looking at the five year chart the share price has never been higher than 14p so perhaps in hindsight it was obvious profit taking would take place without material news. So what now? Do you think it's still a sell - a hold - or a buy. What matters is NOW - is the worse over? Personally I think this will go one of two ways 1) court does not grant permission and company issues another profits warning - equals 4p or 2) court grants permission - rampers come in - and up we go to 15-20p.. I am hanging on for option 2 but accept it's 50/50.. if you do not like taking risk - then stay away ... if you are prepared to hold MIN - as part of a wider portfolio of AIM shares - then buy. Sorry I post on here because I am a shareholder - not because it makes me feel "big"! Jezz - been on LSE for years now but the posters are getting worse and worse.. it's all about who is right - all about giving out share price targets without ever giving reasons - its all about fellow posters instead of discussing the merits of x company. If you do not sell - you do not lose money - simple! Some have high averages here - others probably got in a while back and are back to square one. If you do not hold or see this as a sell - fine - but don't spend all your time on shares you do not hold - some never appear to wish to discuss the shares they actually hold which is daft beyond belief! Listen - I repeat - this is a high risk share - it may not come good. It may need more funding for the development - if approved. However I tell you one thing - there are far more riskier loss making AIM shares out there. (and some are being ramped to death at the moment!)

So you are "happy" that people might have lost money??!! It's only a loss once realised - if you are prepared to wait then this company may still transform over the next few years depending on court decision. Agree it's high risk and business might get worse before it gets better... and the company had no control over Brexit...

Not a great trading update (surprised no one has commented yet) so probably going down today - however might add on the dip and just hold and wait for the pending court news - high risk/reward here GLA

Agree - and when I get time to read though LSE posts (usually on the way to work) I do have a laugh at some of the posts! Classics like 1) MMs want shares 2) this is going one way 3) get in quick 4) WOW what a RNS 5) I just got another 100k etc etc. It's like being at school and I can only presume some here are paid to post this nonsense day after day. Thankfully IOF is relativity an quiet share but I am sure these posters would appear on a spike or sharp drop. GL with your investments.

To be fair, most threads will have posters making share price predictions without giving a reason. Some look at charts to work out if the share price is breaking out of a range while others will base it on recent results/news. As for IOF, I think 25p is as likely as 10p - just because the share price has been moving all over the place this year. However the right answer - is that "the market" decides the share price level - every day... GL

As I keep saying - it is strange to see more than just one same share poster here... unless you are all in this together! Investing should be a long term game - IOF is obviously a share that has cycles - this is a low point so if you are prepared to hold 2-3 years there's a good chance you will be rewarded.. understand if you think NOW is not the time - that's fair comment - but if one can see no good - no potential - no longer term upside - I have to question the motives..

So just to confirm - you believe any form of investing in any share - whether blue chip or AIM - is a form of gambling? I suppose so - so saving for a pension by investing in shares is gambling on my future - fine, I am happy with it - aren't you?

I also take issue with your gambling comment. AIM investing is obviously at the higher end of risk.. but only if you are mad enough just to invest (or post lol) in the single AIM share! If IOF is just 5-10% of your portfolio - I really think it is unfair to say it is a gamble. Nothing is without risk - even holding cash might soon cost you thanks to negative interest rates! As for group-think - there really are not enough people posting here to validate this comment - on either side of the argument!
