What? Show me where he reported his reduction from 9.7m shares in Feb to 8.5m shares today? I don’t see any 8.3.

I stand corrected, he reduced by 400k shares vs Feb via CFDs.

I mentioned Tosca. Financial investor. Holding periods impact irr. For you as retail punter hard to grasp, you lack basic knowledge. But every year they hold that stock impacts their track record return. Again, Google holdings periods of activist investors (eg Elliott), most wouldn’t hold a stock for even 2-3 years, let alone a decade.

That they are underwater is most relevant obviously.

As financial investor you look at realized and prospective IRR and holding periods. Having held the stock for years and being down on the holding impacts your negotiation view. If no sale, it could take a long time (eg 3-4 years) for any sale to materialize. That will drag down their IRR. And for any activist investor a holding for more than 1-2 years is a very long time. Tosca entered their holding almost 10 years ago, go figure.

Now Mediclinic bought their stake at 360 I think, good luck making any money on that stake.

I don’t think so, the largest shareholders are under water now. Could imagine they are all over the process now. Tosca and Mediclinic have been invested for a long time, at some point they may want to get out. I doubt they may want to hold their stakes for another 3 years or so.

Terrible trade because that’s already priced in. Upside greater than downside now. Good news and the stock will get squeezed. The stock tells you no takeover offer or large divi.

Maybe ask the Panel to check in on the process? They can be approached. I think by now too much time has passed imo. The Panel could put the whole process on Pusu? Or ask the company to either conclude the process?

Short interest is 2%, some positive news and the stock will explode.

You would think one decent trading day and the stock pukes. Is it short sellers just pushing the price into the market?

You realize the chairman barely owns shares and the owners decide what will happen with the company. They put up the money so they run the show to some extent. Are you impressed by the CVs of the board members? Yet have to see posts that show them in any positive light or outline their achievements.

all of us could have spent 10m or so and let the stock crash. maximizing shareholder value doesn’t mean sell the company at any price. but it doesn’t mean ******* away the company’s cash either?
