RE: Recent sell side notes30 Apr 2026 17:03
Some corrections:
- what is the source for Toscafund and Mediclinic demanding £3 per share? Is this new? Google / Gemini isn’t finding any evidence. Maybe that’s the “ask” and they would settle at 260-270. There is no way in my view another sale process can be launched within the next 24-36 months, the Board and owners would be considered (fill the gap).
- there have been hospitals deals in the UK, the government has never and in my view will never intervene. They aren’t the owners and have bigger fish to fry with the NHS. Only the CMA could commence a process.
- the share price hasn’t hit brokers forecasts in years, sell wide is always more bullish, that’s their business model. I can imagine some have a takeover premium implemented in their targets.
I am surprised that the stock isn’t at 180 levels. That’s the level before the Pusu was announced.
